UnBooks:Mummy, why is father so old?
If it is your daughter who is a Loli, see UnScripts:Yes, I'm a lolita
Hi everyone! I'm Violet, and I'm 8 years old! And now I'm going to talk about something I have had many questions about... Mummy, why is father so old?
How it started[edit | edit source]
One day, I was looking through my mummy's photo albums. One picture caught my attention: mummy and daddy's wedding photo. Something was weird about it. It looked like mummy was not that much older than me! And father was already a grown man! So I asked, "Mummy, how old were you and father when you got married?" And she said, "I was only 20 years old. He was 35. Not sure how to explain it, but as weird as it seems, there was a reason we got married at that age..."
Why?[edit | edit source]
"Why, mummy? Why did you get married so young?" I asked. So mummy explained: "We had been dating since I was 15, and he was 30. I don't know why your father fell in love with me, the point is that he did. The very day we met, he already wanted to marry me! But there was a problem. You see, in many countries of the world, there is a law that says that you can't get married unless you are a grown-up. I lived in one of those countries, and although your father lived in a more... permissive country, I couldn't go there either, for the very reason that I wasn't a grown-up! So we were both very sad."
And then what happened?[edit | edit source]
"What a doo-doo law, mummy. Tell me more!" I shouted, now that the story had gotten good. So mummy continued: "What we did was, we dated on the internet and tried to keep it a secret. To be sure, I'm not entirely sure it was a secret, since in your father's country this would have been OK. Fairly certain that he told all his friends about me. In fact, a crazy lady tried to take him from me, but that's a story for another time. The point is, I at least told nobody of my family. And I told my friends only the most general details. I didn't want your father to go to jail, after all."
*speechless*[edit | edit source]
"So how did you marry daddy, once you were grown?" I asked. Mummy replied, "Well, it wasn't easy. I was studying in college and my family was overprotective. So what did I do? I sneaked out of college during spring break, because it was something a college student would do. I had saved enough money to buy a plane ticket, so I went to your father's country, somehow we recognized each other, and first thing in the morning, we found someone to legally marry us. We were so happy when we finally got married. I would tell you what happened afterward, but I'm sure you could figure this out on your own, given that you exist. hahahaha"
A question remains.[edit | edit source]
"Why did you marry daddy and not someone else? Why did you not marry a boy closer to your own age?" I wondered. Mummy had a very good explanation: "Well, Violet, the thing is, I didn't like boys of my age. Nor did they like me. They all thought I was ugly, and I thought they would never grow up. So I was sad, because I thought I would never find a husband. Also, my friends made fun of me. One of them even said she would not be my friend anymore because I only liked grown-ups. So that was part of the reason I had to keep our love a secret."
*tears of joy*[edit | edit source]
Oh mummy, what a beautiful story! When I grow up, I want to marry a man older than me, too! But wait, a random thought occurs... Last night I couldn't sleep. I heard father say, "You've been a very naughty girl, so I'm gonna teach you a lesson. When I'm done with you, you won't be able to walk." Then you guys went into your bedroom and after that I heard you screaming. Did father hurt you?
"No, Violet. Your father was just playing with me. Not a game for little children, though. Why don't you go outside and play hopscotch with your sisters? Or play at being superheroes with your brothers?"
