Hey, Hardwick. I think this article is starting to function now. Some good writing. I think the 'real life example' is good, but feel free to take out any bits I put in if you think they aren't functioning or go against what you would like to achieve with the article. --Hindleyite | PL | CUN | Converse 20:35, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

No I think the stuff you added helps. The whole thing was annoying me, because I couldn't break it out of the core idea, until tonight when I just tried to attack it from a new angle. I think it will improve more as it goes. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 20:40, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
Cheers for linkifying this, Hindleyite. I'm afraid I had to remove some of the Hefner and restaurant stuff in the end - not because it wasn't funny, but because it was repeating over what was said in the previous section and I need to move things on to the crunch quickly. I reckon it's pretty much there now - what do you think? No time for IRC this afternoon - too much work --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 15:18, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes, the article is pretty much complete, I think. I like the image of Bungle - it's quite scary, in a way... Anyhow, just waiting for someone to, hopefully, <cough> nominate for VFH</coughs>. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Converse 15:45, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Heck, I'll do it myself, and to hell with the reputation. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 12:01, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

The Dice Man[edit source]

It's currently on withdrawn from VFH, but I'm always open to offers. Any ideas about it - what's right, what's wrong, what's indefinably yet distinctly erotic? --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 12:00, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

The article contains too many lists of six. You know - the more a joke is repeated, the less it is funny. Why not cosider a "Dice Man" with a d20? That would be hilarious!
See Wickedpedia.

Cheers Col. I've withdrawn this from VFH primarily because it was compared with Bouncy Castle and found wanting - so the main thing I've been wondering is what the heck was the secret of Bouncy Castle (apart from images) which is especially annoying since I wrote it.
I think you've given me the answer here. My first thought was, well yeah there are a lot of lists but they are all different kinds of joke - one is mundane, one is silly etc... But now I reckon that the problem is that I am playing too many variations that are close to the main concept, while Bouncy Castle had very different, but related, sections.
I'm not obsessed, honestly. It's just a bad cold. I can kick it... --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy ([[user

Col. Swordfish, stirring up the hysteria while holding a swordfish.

UPDATE!!! WORDS!!! YES, WORDS!!! WITH BULLET POINTS!! HAVE BEEN PUT IN MY MOUTH!!! I never agreed, by the way, that "when one idea gets overly repeated, it's just not funny anymore". I talk here about different variations (i.e. different ideas) surrounding a central concept, and only in the context of Bouncy Castle. Anyway, I now think that I was talking bollocks, to use a commone phrase of the age. Also: Col. S. Wordman loves lists with bullet points! So should you! --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 14:45, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Or Else! --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 15:39, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Dudes, I think Col is entitled to his opinion. If he doesn't like lists, let him vote against, as long as this makes the article so unbelievably bad. Anyway I think this should be wrapped up now. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 15:54, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
The secret of Bouncy Castle was just how off the wall (Folks, I'll be here all night) it was. I didn't really have anything to do with anything at all, and that's what made it good. Like Barrell Clowns. --ENeGMA 20:15, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm not going to vote against the article on VFH, but, and this is just my opinion, this article is nowhere near as amusing as the aforementioned Bouncy Castles. There....said it with

Does anyone else find it rather ironic that Col. Swordfish chose to use a list to complain about HF's lists?--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 18:38, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

My goodness[edit source]

I remember this. It used to be too vague a reference for feature, like. -- Hindleyite Converse?pedia 12:04, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
