I will be incommunicado from around Friday night (March 2) through Saturday, March 10, so I need somebody to take over updating the featured images and articles during that time. A few people have already done this so they know what needs to be done, but I'll put instructions here anyway for reference.

Featured article - updated every night

1. Update template:Featuredarticle with a blurb from the article on VFH that has the highest number of votes. Transfer the previous featured article to the second slot in the template. Don't forget to update the images and links!
2. Move the voting section for the new featured article to "Previously Featured" on VFH.
3. Update Uncyclopedia:Best of.
4. Add template:FA to the new featured article. I have code in my CSS that displays the proper FA code on the VFH template, so that can just be copied and pasted to the article. That probably doesn't make sense, but Braydie at least knows what I'm talking about.
5. Archive the previously featured articles on VFH once there are around four or more.

Featured image - updated every third night beginning on Friday (March 2) (this is a lot more painful)

1. Create a page at template:FI/imagename (for example, Template:FI/Pigletmugshot.jpg). Copy the code for the page I just linked and replace it with whatever you need for the new featured image, which is whatever has the highest vote count on VFP.
2. Add the new image to Template:FI/all (just following the coding conventions there).
3. Update template:FI by: adding the weight of the "CURRENTLY FEATURED" image to the total weight; downgrading the old featured image weight to the "CURRENTLY FEATURED" weight; changing the "CURRENTLY FEATURED" weight to whatever the new image's vote count is; adding the actual code for the new image, giving it a weight of half of the total weight.
4. Move the voting section for the new featured image to "Previously Featured" on VFP.
5. Add template:ImageFP to the image page.
6. Protect the new image.
7. Add template:FP to the artist's userpage. (Ex.: {{FP|Image=Pigletmugshot.jpg}})
8. Add the artist to the CUN section of Order of Uncyclopedia IF he/she is not already a Commander or higher.
9. Create a page at Uncyclopedia:PFP/imagename (ex. Uncyclopedia:PFP/Pigletmugshot.jpg). Copy the code for the page I just linked and replace it with whatever you need for the new image, using the voting from VFP.
10. Add the page you just created to Uncyclopedia:PFP/005.

I think that is all. PLEASE try to do all the steps each time something new is featured, otherwise it'll either not work or something will have to be fixed when I get back so we can keep things in order. THANKS —rc (t) 02:27, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Alas, a lot of the pages that need to be edited are protected, so an admin has to do it.
