Edit Farm
“Sometimes I believe that these farms are being edited...
...
...dear god.”
An edit farm is an area of land in the Uncyclomedia property created specifically to gain as much edits as fast as possible. There are several different types of edit farms in the world, however many popular edit farms were not originally meant to be edit farms. There are around 50 known edit farms in the Uncyclomedia property, mostly made out of Uncyclopedian sweat, bytes, and fallen letters.
Modern edit farms have been optimized to raise the creator's edit count as high as possible, with analysts stating that edit farms have increased edit counts by around 75 edits, with most edits being minor edits after someone fucks up their grammar.
History[edit | edit source]
Edit farms have began ever since the ancient times of Uncyclopedia, specifically 2012. There, the world was supposed to end that year, but the hard-working editors at Uncyclopedia created a forum called "Last person to edit wins". Editors have worked on this forum every day, as a passive-aggressive "fuck you" to the other editors trying to be the last person to edit. Although this forum continued for several decades, it slowly faded into irrelevancy due to the syndrome known as "Nobody Cares". Eventually though, the edit farm has been popularized again ever since the creation of the "A story built one ___ at a time" series. This, unfortunately, had some severe consequences on the space-time plane.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The word "edit farm" comes from the Latin "fuckus youus, idiotius". The idiotius turned into edit, and fuckus turned into farm. Nobody knows what happened to the youus.
Edit farm equipment[edit | edit source]
The equipment used to create an edit farm is mostly sticks, stones, keyboards, gamer sweat, and laptops. At the beginning of the universe, Uncyclopedians did not have the technology to create a reliable edit farm, thus we would pray to the holy to receive greater technological advances. Eventually, a 90's computer fell from the sky, beginning the production of edit farms.
In the modern day, some people have gotten to the point to use AI to create "funny" articles. Fortunately, all of these articles are either ICU'd or QVFD'd by the vigilant heros of Uncyclopedia.
