Ecce Mono, also known as Potato Jesus, or Ecce Homo (Martínez and Giménez, Borja) for Wikipedians without a sense of humor, is a masterpiece created in 2012 by Cecilia Giménez, using MS Paint and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. "Based" (physically) UPon a 1930 fresco by Elías García Martínez, the fame of this "work" depicting Jesus,[citation needed] did the miracle: Borja, a nobody cares sort-of-Russian-named Spanish village far far away from Madrid and next to France, became the New Biennale and changed its name in Toulouse Lautrec. Hallelujah!!!

History, rise and fame[edit]

Boring version[edit]

Ok, that's the fact: in 1930 an unknown painter named Elías García Martínez depicted a Jesus on a column of an unknown church in an unknown place. His plan was to wait painting's decay for 82 years, hoping that a noob painter and elderly parishioner decided to mess it up, waiting for some dummy art critic talkin' bout a "pop icon", earning fame, money with tourism and... Finally... Earn the right to have an article on Wikipedia! Uhm... Is there really anybody going to listen to this boring story? NOPE, of course. Let's listen to the terrific version, composed by the Fab Four!

Ecce Mono: The Musical[edit]

Ah look at noob restoring people
Ah look at noob restoring people
Ceci Giménez, picks up a pencil
In the church where Martínez has been
And draws a chimp
Sitting by column, painting "The Face"
That she keeps in a jar by her house
In formaldehyde
Noob restoring people. Where do they all come from?
Noob restoring people. Why do so bothersome?
-
Father Florencio, writing the report
for vandals to Guardia Civil
(But) No one came near
Look at her working, wasting his fresco
In the night when there's nobody there
(But) Nobody cared
Noob restoring people. Where do they all come from?
Noob restoring people. Why do so bothersome?
-
Ah look at noob restoring people
Ah look at noob restoring people
Ceci Giménez, did in the church
A pop-art masterpiece with her name
Everyone came
Father Florencio, rubbing his hands
For the tourists that walk from the church
Borja was saved
Noob restoring people. Where do they all come from?
Noob restoring people. We bless them for a long

...

Seriously... In 2016, an opera celebrated the painting. Yes, seriously![2]
