Boyz II Men
“I love their passion. If only they'd get me out of jail.”
“I never met them.”
Boyz II Men, formerly known as Da Boyz and 4Korners, are a small but affluential gang, which since 1985, have been active in the drug-smuggling business in Philadelphia. Initially consisting of four people, after Michael "Mugger" McCary was found and later arrested in 2003, they are now a trio. Sadly, as the marijuana business has been surpassed by the far more lucrative fentanyl trade, they have mainly faded into irrelevance. Initially named Da Boyz, when they expanded in the 90s, they became 4Korners and later Boyz II Men.
History[edit | edit source]
Da Boyz (1985-93)[edit | edit source]
Boyz II Men was founded by two young siblings, known as the Morris brothers, whose dad left them when they were born in the late 60s. As a result, their mother had to become a prostitute, but she was fired by her boss in early 1981 after Tyler Perry founded a branch of his lucrative drag queen business in Philadelphia. This caused her to become a drug dealer, selling crystal meth for low amounts of cash.
In 1983, the brothers went to high school, where they were taught how to manufacture meth and be true Pennsylvania gangstas with the power of R&B. As a result, the brothers formed Da Boyz in early 1985. Using their skills, they would graduate from the school with flying colors in early 1988, receiving a certificate from El Chapo himself. This allowed them exclusive access to several cocaine factories throughout Columbia.
For their first few years, Da Boyz were not well-known, selling only a few records while they grown marijuana. But in the early 90s, they released the first successful single, Motownphilly. The album primarily succeeded as the group used a secretive bribing strategy to sell their meth, manufacturing it into paper which would contain the records. This enabled them to secretly smuggle meth under the guise of storing records.
4Korners (1993-2003)[edit | edit source]
Soon after the record was successful, the two brothers met Kris Kross, two burgeoning hip hop stars who had met Michael Jackson. Since Da Boyz were seeking to rebrand, they merged with Kris Kross and became 4Korners in early 1993, releasing their second successful album I'll Make Love to You. This caused them to be even richer, and by 1995, the band were multi-millionaires. Additionally, they had collaborated with Mariah Carey, who they blackmailed into starring as she was one of their best customers, releasing One Sweet Time that same year.
Soon after that album, 4Korners finally publicized their meth company, hiring poor black people like Jay Z and illegal immigrants to sell the stuff. The FBI later intervened, and in 2003, caught and arrested McCary, who was trying to get revenge on Dr. Dre, who had stolen his girl and made a whole song about it.
Boyz II Men (2003-present)[edit | edit source]
Since McCary has been arrested, most of their singles have not charted. The band is still moderately successful, with their music being played at least once on YouTube every day, but other than that, they've mainly faded into irrelevance. Their meth business did acquire the remnants of WeGrow in the mid-2010s, but they are now just normal gangsters.
