At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:RadioWey/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If you want to write and don't know where to begin, browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome! --Sycamore (Talk) 17:59, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Templates, using your name[edit source]
Neither of these is too good. Templates are genreally dicouraged, should you be writing an article just add {{Construction}}. As for Vanity we don't allow it. Its also an idea not to release your real name on the site - as this could encourage cyberbulling etc. Thanks there:)--Sycamore (Talk) 17:09, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- What he just said. Please familiarise yourself with the contents of the articles linked in the welcome note above; particularly BGBU, HTBFANJS and UN:VAIN. Adding quotes attributed to yourself and references to yourself are not acceptable edits here; you wouldn't appear in a "real" encyclopedia, and that's what we're trying to parody. Please read the links I've provided again for you. I If you want to stop other people from editing articles you're working on, construct them in your userspace as (again) it says in the welcome note above: "To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:RadioWey/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure." f you have any further questions, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 17:20, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

...Response: Denham might be... I don't know, i don't think he's going to use it for an article, but I can't speak on his behalf.{Jenkins@Radiowey} 22:30, 15 December 2008 (GMT)
