Well, I'm no admin, but I figured I'd leave you a more helpful response than the people on the Dump. They tend to be unhelpful when this sort of thing comes up. To become an admin, you have to help out the site for a long enough time to garner some recognition from your peers. Then they nominate you for admin. You are not screwed to becoming an admin. But the best thing to do is put it out of your conscious mind and just do what you'd do anyway. Forget about being an admin. Let the forum topic die. Then, if you do the stuff you're supposed to do, eventually you'll get the recognition you deserve.
