Help, you say?[edit source]
Glad to be of assistance. What exactly is it that you're having trouble trying to get to grips with? The more specific you can be, the better I'm able to assist. You can also get instant advice via IRC if you're in a hurry; follow the instructions on Uncyclopedia:Chat. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 16:25, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
For starters[edit source]
How about putting some user boxes....for example - define where you're from, what languages you speak, etc. you can find them here: Uncyclopedia:Templates/Userboxes

Making it look pretty[edit source]
So, you want a pretty userpage, eh? Well, if you're new to wikis and the whole formatting thing, you can learn a lot by looking at other people's userpages in the "edit" tab - for example, here's mine. So, from this link we can see a few tricks straight away - firstly made up quotes. The formatting for these is like so:
YOUR QUOTE TEXT HERE
- so
What a large flying lizard you have, my dear.
will produce this:
“What a large flying lizard you have, my dear.”
Next: including images. Images go in square brackets, like links, but have several options which you can include or leave out if they're not required. The only thing you need to make sure you include is the correct image link, the rest are optional:
DISPLAY SIZE|ALIGNMENT|CAPTION
i.e.:

will give you this:
Like I said, you can just dump the whole image on a page using , but in most cases you'll find that a thumbnail looks prettier in the article, and a witty caption underneath is always popular. Oh, and thumbnails also default to the right-hand side of the page, so there's usually no need to put "|right|" as the alignment.
So, on to Userboxes, as Mordillo mentioned above. As he said, a list of (some of the) Uncyclopedia userboxes can be found by clicking here- some are useful, some are fun and some are downright stupid (but hey, we love 'em anyway). I've taken the liberty of adding a couple to your userpage already as you might have noticed. If you want to add or change any, the easiest way is to just copy the code of an existing one and change the link text. Make sure each line is prefaced with a vertical pipe ( | ), and that there's a divider ( |- )between each, though (if you have a look at your userpage in edit mode, you'll see what I mean). As you seem to have already figured out, you can include templates on a page by including them in curly brackets, and that goes for most of the userboxes and general "bells and whistles" round here. A category with links to all of our templates can be found here.
I presume you've read the Editing Help page already. This explains the basics of wiki formatting (making bold or italic text, creating headers and titles etc.), and is always there next to the submit buttons in case you get lost.
So, I hope you're a bit more confident after all that! My best advice to you is to go ahead and experiment; if you get stuck, or something is doing weird inexplicable things, let me or any other admin know and we'll do our best to sort it out for you. Good luck! -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 17:51, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh I nearly forgot: Signatures[edit source]
Yes indeedy. So, rather than explaining the whole procedure, I've created a sig for you at User:DragonRidingSorceress/sig. You can edit it as you see fit, but what you need to do to use it is to go to "preferences", and in the box marked "Nickname", enter the following:
User:DragonRidingSorceress/sig
Tick the box marked "Raw signatures (without automatic link)", and then save your preferences, and you should be good to go! Hope this helps. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 20:15, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
