At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Avnyx/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply put {{adoptme}} on your Userpage to join. Again, welcome!

Ahoy there...matey[edit source]
I was browsing recent changes, and noticed this article that you happened to make. If you had been an IP I probably would have just thrown it to QVFD, but seeing as you're an actual user, I figured I would let you in on a little of my knowledge. Pages one line long have very little likelihood to remain around here. We like things with some actual content. Now, if you plan on finishing the article, that's no problem, just put {{construction}} on the page though, so that nobody mistakes it for people just throwing up cruft. Are you the one that keeps editing this to the same effect each time? If so, do you actually think it's funny? If you do think so, why? Do you have any idea why I set up that article? If you do, how's that? Where did you find out? -- Style
