User:Ketchup Boss/John Lennon[edit source]
Ketchup Boss himself is too lazy to bother to learn how to use Pee Review so I have done it for him. This time. Also, KB, what do you think about that song that time with that guy about that girl? MrN 04:28. Jul 13 04:28, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Humour: | 5 | I laughed at "The others songs on that album were BORING. Seriously. He allegedly wrote the 1966 hit song "69 Beers" but this was not true." The bit about the fifth Beatle could have been funny but "Pete Not The Best" is a pretty weak name. You have two "Let it Be" alternative titles, so that's not good. As a whole the humour is neither outrageous nor fairly straight, which makes the article a little awkward. |
Concept: | 7 | It's all about John Lennon. That's good. As I said before, it is a little awkward because the humour is neither one nor the other, and also there is a different type of joke used in each section, which stylistically makes it feel like several articles. Also there is already an article on Chapman, so you're going to have to put your own spin on it here. Perhaps "It was a bit of an overreaction. All Lennon did was turn up late for the gig, but no, some people think they have the right to..." |
Prose and formatting: | 8 | The formatting's good (though the ALL CAPS BIT ABOUT MARK CHAPMAN IS STUPID), the grammar's a little sketchy at times but then again I'm pretty pedantic, and that can be fixed easily. |
Images: | 7 | The images are formatted well I guess. The last supper one should be bigger maybe. The inappropriate one from Yellow Submarine should definitely be bigger; I can't see its contents at all. |
Miscellaneous: | 7 | |
Final Score: | 34 | The article has one or two childish laughs, it shows potential. It is a bit fanboy-ish and lauds John Lennon too much. It would be funnier to call him an ugly stinky bastard at the beginning than a still handsome but weird looking freak. |
