UnNews:2008 election race continues[edit source]

The UnIdiot and I whipped this up--it's essentially an ill-conceived idea we got from watching an episode of America's Most Wanted(don't ask), followed by about 6 political commercials in a row(it's even worse than it sounds). Well, here it is, go to it. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 04:31, Jan 3

Humour: 8 Those crazy politicians. What will they get up to next? Some good satire, although I think it may be a bit too simplistic at the moment. As a Brit, I don't know the candidates as well as I could, but, for example I know one of them's a mormon. You could reference that. Also, maybe Hilary could make a big deal about who her husband is?
Concept: 8 We definitely need to address the presidential race and the campaign ads are a very good way to do this.
Prose and formatting: 6 I corrected a few minor formatting/grammar errors. The main problem is the lack of sections, to separate out the candidates. At the moment it feels a bit bitty, if that makes sense. Maybe cquote might improve the look of some of the quotations.
Images: 7 They do the job. It would be good if you could find a campaign poster to include, or make one.
Miscellaneous: 7.25 You stole my idea!. You can have it.
Final Score: 36.25 I like it, but a few added details may be needed.

Having since done a bit of research into the campaign ads, I noticed a trend for the candidates to try and personalise their messages. I think it would be a good idea for one of the candidates to tell a story from their youth which relates to one of the issues of their campaign (healthcare seems to be a good one). This says "Hey, I may be a powerful politician with much more money than the average person, but I really understand what Americans are going through. I've been there." You can fill in the details as I'm just an ill-informed Brit. -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey)  13:53, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Ah, interesting observation, I'll see if I can add that. Meanwhile do you like my additions so far? - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 21:47, Jan 4
The only thing is, Giuliani's reference to Romney's mormonism is a slight attack, which contradicts the following paragraph. It's not a full out attack, so it might not be a big problem. -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey)  23:03, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
