UnNews:Zoo official:I was aiming for the black kid
Sunday, June 5, 2016
There has been another twist in the case of the death of Harambe the gorilla - as the zoo official who killed him has admitted that he was aiming for the small black child in the enclosure.
"I never meant to kill that monkey," said Douglas Peck, 28. "I was alerted to the situation when I heard some white families say that a black kid was trying to steal a gorilla.
"I didn't think twice. My hand automatically reached for my pistol, and before I knew it, I was taking aim."
According to Mr Peck, the four-year-old boy, named in some media sources as D'Brickashaw Gregg, moved at the last minute, meaning that the fatal bullet whizzed passed him and right into Harambe's innocent face.
"I am not a racist man," Peck told us. "But we have a lot of problems here with black folks stealing things, loitering, being boisterous, and sometimes things get out of hand."
The shooting has led to an emotional debate online, with many shocked at the zoo's violent response to the incident. Joanna Corey told UnNews: "These poor creatures were brought over here from Africa against their will, and we still treat them as lesser beings than ourselves, despite what DNA analysis shows, and we can seemingly gun them down without consequence.
"What's that? No, I was talking about gorillas."
