UnNews:Riots in Missouri after black man shoots white cop
Sunday, September 28, 2014
Riots have broken out in Ferguson, Missouri, after a black civilian shot a white police officer yesterday.
A mass protest of police officers and white folk gathered last night in the town center - and initially the demonstration was peaceful. Many carried placards saying, "Hands up, don't shoot!" - begging suspected criminals to simply raise their hands when a police officer approaches, instead of shooting him.
Emotions were clearly running high, with one protestor telling us, "This happens all the time. Officer down, and guess what? The assailant is black. It's institutionalized racism, and it has got to stop.
"We are good, law-abiding police officers. Sure, there is a tiny minority of cops who are a menace, but I just think that, for some black guys, they see a white face and they shoot first and then ask questions later."
Later, the demonstration turned ugly, as many officers took to looting and vandalizing shops. A barbershop had its windows smashed, and a KFC was almost burnt to the ground. Fortunately, the would-be rioters were repelled by the revolting smell.
