Due to the deletion of the political correctness article on VFD:

Thoughts on this protocol for archival? I think this is fair, as it removes the articles from most of the public view once there is a consensus to delete them, but if people in the future find it there and think the deletion is wrong, they could re-start the discussion.

(There's lots of extra space here for more votes, don't know how many we need for the decision though)

If anything needs to change, and I never thought it would come to this, we should have a rule that featured articles can't be deleted. That's my proposal. MrX blow me Emoji-drool.gif 05:47, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
Why? Once something is featured, is there absolutely no way it can be reversed at all? We've been over this on Discord, and we're just going in circles. Please listen to what people are saying, you are turning this into a much larger problem than it is. Microsoft for POTUS (talk) 05:59, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
I already explained this on the Discord. Uncyclopedia changes. What we find funny changes. If a featured article turns out to not fit the community's new, higher standards of what a featured article should be, then the article can be unfeatured or even deleted. It's featuredness cannot, and should not, change that. Just because a dozen users really like an article doesn't mean it should remain on the site forever. MrX, your idea makes no sense. ARandomPage, the named space (ARandomTalkPage) (Stuff they do) 06:51, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
I’m making it a problem? Excuse me, but did I nominate and vote for a featured article to be deleted? MrX blow me Emoji-drool.gif 06:59, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
No. You didn't. Continue?
As I said on Discord: "MrX's argument is just argument by assertion/begging the question, he's beginning with what he's trying to end up with. 'This VFD vote is invalid because the article is featured' doesn't make too much sense if we can't address why an article being featured makes it immune to deletion and unfeature debates." Microsoft for POTUS (talk) 07:03, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
And as ARandomPage said about the articles supposedly having special status: "Articles like AAAAAAAAA! and Nobody cares are special and important, at least to me. The average featured article doesn't come close to that level. If YOU don't understand what I'm saying, and keep saying that its featured and somehow that makes it immune to deletion (a point I've already responded to several times), I'm not sure what else to do." • Why not set up a system for voting to unfeature articles? Once an article passes an unfeature vote, a separate vote can be held to determine if it should be deleted. -- The Zombiebaron 16:18, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
