Forum:URL links within our own site and other sites
It is worthy noting that we have many many links to uncyclopedia.wikia.com on our own site here and I suppose we should change these so we are actively reducing traffic to the wikia site and making people stay here.
Also other sites have links (ED, Illogicopedia, Wikipedia, other wikis?) and I vote we change them for a similar effect. I have already done ED and will probably go check out Illogicopedia is a sec, but if anyone knows of sites that link to uncyclopedia.wikia.com that can be changed to en.uncyclopedia.co this would be awesome. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 03:54, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Wait....I think I posted a forum just like this.... User:Aimsplode/sig604:30 5 January 2013
- This one mainly pertains to backlinks on other wikis. I'm not talking about our Twitter, Facebook, etc. This forum refers to where we have been briefly mentioned on a wiki somewhere. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 04:34, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- The [[uncyclopedia:]] interwiki from illogicopedia: points here (which means their {{uncyclopedia}} and {{uncyclopedian}} templates are good), although there are 89 external URL's (mostly talk pages) [1]. The true external links are less of an issue as they get rel="nofollow", but might still be worth replacing with interwikis. Wikipedia took out our interwiki entry when Wikia redirected our domain, although wikipedia:Uncyclopedia (and its counterparts in various languages) do need to be updated to fix our external URL and add info on the split. - You said Wikipedia, I mentioned that and already fixed it. User:Aimsplode/sig604:35 5 January 2013
- Did you look at all of the Wikipedia languages or just en: ? Carlb (talk) 04:46, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Carlb, I'm in the process of going down the list of languages of Wikipedia and changing their links at the least. I'm also updating more information about the English and Simple English language Wikipedia pages about us. User:Aimsplode/sig617:39 5 January 2013
- Now to see how long it takes for illogicopedia: to note that they have links here but we don't link there. Carlb (talk) 22:14, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

List
If somebody could come up with a list of links in our interwiki table that point to Wikia, and where they should point, that would be helpful to me in particular, as I am the one who is going to update it. Prefix, proper website, local or not, and forward or not. Thanks. ~ Sat, Jan 12 '13 17:23 (UTC)
- From what I understand, 'Forward' is local. 'Transclude' is scary transclusion. Someone should fix the extension to be more clear on that, but gerrit sucks. -— Lyrithya ༆ 18:25, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I realized that after I wrote this, and then forgot to change it before I posted it. ~ Sat, Jan 12 '13 18:34 (UTC)
Anyone?
Is anyone in charge of changing as many urls as possible? Full list of W*k*a hits over here (url hits) Cartoonist | Spit it out! | 03:45, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- I think you'll find this is more accurate and usable. Nobody is in charge or it per say but MadMax and myself have been wading through the 40,000 or so links that need removing and updating them manually. Anyone else is welcome to help of course. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 03:53, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
