We have Writer of the Year, Potatochopper of the Year and Uncyclopedian of the Year. Why not Reviewer of the Year?-- 08:37, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Because these are the three core awards we have, if we add Reviewer of the Year, you'll need to add Foolitzer of the Year, Annotator of the year, UnBooks writer of the year etc. etc. We have an overload of awards as it is with low amounts of votes on most of them, I think we can do without this one. ~ 08:52, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

While I generally fear change, I don't think adding one more annual award would hurt. The pee review tends to get backlogged in a way that UnBook writing, for example, doesn't. --Mn-z 22:50, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Chief would win the first one. Then everyone else would be all discourged and leave, fussing. Human nature. Anyway, reviewing is not a contest as much as it is a very useful benefit for us users, and we should thank all of them equally and not rise one above the rest, no? Aleister 17:08 8 9

On the other hand, why need reviewing have awards like other things? Why not 'Awesome Reviewers of the Year', plural, with however many consistent year-long reviewers? Hate seems pretty strong for something so trivial. The award does tend to get overlooked but that's just because there don't seem to be that many active 'choppers. There are always people who deserve it though. --Black Flamingo 22:07, September 20, 2010 (UTC)
