I was thinking that we could have some sort of device for assisting articles in need. I think I have the solution!

Imagine a place (kind of like UN:PEE but different, with a static page) where it's RFA-style in its formatting. Articles would be added to the end of the list (each with their own sub-page) alphabetically. Every article would have its own entry. Anyway, the article would be rated as 0 (Terrible/delete it now), 1 (Bad/NRV), 2 (Mediocre/rewrite), 3 (Average/slight cleanup), 4 (Good/keep it steady), and 5 (AWESOME/VFH).

The article subpages would have certain parameters for improvement. I was thinking something along the lines of

  • Nees expansion
  • Needs pictures
  • Needs formatting
  • Needs cleanup
  • Needs total rewrite
  • Needs vacuum (article is bloated with unfunny crap)
  • No Context (subject material does not lend itself to humor easily)
Along with some comments on the content by the nominating user

Anyway, you would check off any of these that apply, and then somebody would comb through the gallery and remove the checks as they improved it. Then, they would sign their name somewhere in the subpage, and the article's page would be HTML-noted (<!-- {{Uncyclopedia:Proposed thing/Article name}} -->) or hidden by Java.

I was also thinking that we could do something along the lines of the infoboxes at the bottom of some pages in order to hide or show lengthy subpages.

Any thoughts?

sounds like a good idea to me, would make it much easier to see what needed fixing in articles, without having to rifle through the specialpages - jack mort | cunt | talkKodamaIcon.jpg - 18:14, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
I'll create it soon @ Uncyclopedia:Article status (UN:ARTSTAT). ~ Unflameviper Who's a Peach? 17:21, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Also...

I was thinking that we re-do the uses for Template:NRV and Template:SRV. As it stands, NRV is used for pretty much anything remotely bad. I was actually thinking that SRV could be used for the current purpose of NRV, and NRV could instead be used for articles that have NO potential whatsoever (attack, spam, nonsense, etc.) Thoughts? ~ Unflameviper Who's a Peach? 17:21, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Dying articles?

I'll make the dye. We'll make them all pretty colors. --Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 03:51, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

How the hell so you get siggy colours?
Anyone want to use a new rewrite tag for articles that need to be rewritten instead of moving even articles that have potential to VFD? --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 17:23, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
How abouts this proposal? ~ Unflameviper Who's a Peach? 20:54, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
