Forum:Bot Rights or something
So since I have a new computer and my cygwin/pywikbot/hdudIp/dhfyew0g files etc aren't downloaded and installed (and are bitching to do so) I was wondering if there was a way to mark me or my bot as a little something.
You're probably confused now. But I'll clear it up. With the introduction of Special:MassMessage, Admins can use it to deliver the USP. However, I am not an admin nor would opping me be AMERICAN or RIGHTEOUS so I cannot use it. But my bot on the other hand, could be marked as an admin for the specific purpose of using MassMessage and ONLY that because that would be considered a sockpuppet if I was using it with its full admin abilities (such as huffing, featuring, hacking up pages etc.).
The second option could be making a rights group for Bots or something to that extent but I see the first option a little simpler even though it sounds greedy. Which it really isn't, it's a banging idea if you ask me.
I just want your opinion.
I'm going to include a vote just for shits and giggles because I am yet to see when a vote actually decided something in this situation (recently, I should say). But I really just want opinion rather than a vote.

Op Slender for USP delivering purposes ONLY
N+F Only because I think this option is easier and when you think about it, it's for one purpose and one purpose only. And plus I already never use the bot for anything besides delivering USP (what it was made for and will always be made for)

- Easier, maybe, but messier. You don't want a bot sending out the message because then the log of the sending (which is separate from the sending, which is automatically marked as bot edits because a system bot is used for them) is also a bot edit. You should be sending the send command using your main account. -— Lyrithya ༆ 20:04, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
