  1. Nom and for The idea alone that Glock is disappointed their weapon didn't kill somebody makes me laugh. This article pisses on the story in all the right crevasses for me. MegaPleb Dexter111344 Complain here 12:04, January 10, 2011 (UTC)
Symbol for vote.svg For. Fast-track to main page before the Rep gets better, or worse. Spıke ¬ 12:37 10-Jan-11 Rescinded. It's not on a fast-track now; if it hits the main page, it won't be timely and it will still be tasteless. A blemish on the article's premise and on Dexter's rationale: the weapon was lethal for 6 other people. Spıke ¬ 17:12 11-Jan-11

  5. Symbol for vote.svg For. I haven't voted on VFH for a long time. I'm not really excited about how it is implemented today, and I've only really had time for minor maintenance for a long time now, so I am pleased to let the kids play in the box if they want to. But I just really feel like this article calls for something from me, especially in light of the fact that my vote will mean nothing with respect to the hightlight results. Here's the thing. I've known this about emc since I met him, but holy hell, here is a man who in my view completely understands satire and its use. While I do appreciate the voice of those calling "too soon" (see my coments on Talk:Los Angeles Angels for proof), in this case the satire is directed heavily against the gun culture and actually is supportive of those whose lives hang in the balance and those whose lives were so stupidly, heinously stolen. It exposes via very funny ad absurdum the reality the gun worshippers never agree to face. This is you, gun lover. If I could have written this well about the tragic Nick Adenhart incident, I would have done it the following night. "Too soon" is trumped by greatness. Just my opinion. --AKA The Pretentious Testicle GlobalTourniquetUnAstrologer, UnJournalist, shameless narcissistic America-hating liberal atheist award-winning featured writer 23:45, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Symbol for vote.svg For. It's the worst UnNews in ages. And by worst I mean best. Awfully bad taste, gross, flamebait, trollish and everything. Moar of this! --Zig 12:31, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

  1. Against. Didn't make me laugh, nor did I find it amusing. A bit cringe worthy if I'm honest.--Sycamore (Talk) 13:44, January 10, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Well written, but I rather not have it on the main page, especially when you have someone currently fighting for their lives. ~Jewriken.GIF 16:19, January 10, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Against. The idea is well executed, but I agree with Mordillo, this woman's life is still hanging in the balance, it wouldn't say anything good about us. ChiefjusticePS3 17:29, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Against. per above. Mn-z 00:23, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Against. Just not in good taste, there is satire and pushing the envelope this is just not appropriate. Dr. Fenwick 02:21, January 12, 2011 (UTC)

  • Symbol comment vote.svg Comment. Good news! It looks like she's gonna live! Personally, it's always astonished me how companies can manufacture lethal weapons legally and how people are allowed to bear those lethal arms, instead of, say, just using non-lethal weaponry. If you visit Detroit with just a Nerf bat, don't advertise it. America's cities and zones of declared disarmament are also its most lethal. Spıke ¬ 17:12 11-Jan-11
Yeah I reckon there could be many scenarios where a kid with a baseball bat could be way more lethal than right wing nutters with Uzis...--Sycamore (Talk) 17:15, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
He isn't right wing. Just look at his list of favorite books. Peter Pan for fuck's sake! He's a dirty liberal through and through. --EMC [TALK] 02:46 Jan 12 2011
