So now when you're not logged in, when you click an external link, you'll get a page saying you're leaving wikia and you'll be redirected in 10 seconds unless you don't want to leave the warm safe fuzzy confines of wikia. Or it would, if the page wasn't white text on a white background with nothing else but a wikia logo in the corner.

Obviously I have no problem with that, staring at a tiny wikia logo wondering what happened to the link is a great game. And my favourite surprises are the ones where wikia adds a broken feature to the site without asking anyone, or even telling people after! And even better when it only applies to logged out users, so none of the regular people notice. Awesome. Anyway, it would nice if -

• This amazing feature is turned off, at the very least until it doesn't look retarded.
• Someone fixes the styling promptly so it doesn't look retarded.
• Also, if we're going to be stuck with it would be great if it actually told you where the external link was taking you on the page, rather than leaving you to look at the address bar, which happens to make the entire "feature" completely pointless. Not to mention that the external link style already does the whole job for you, without having you load a pointless wikia-branded page mostly full of ads OH WAIT I GET IT

OK, it's been turned off. It wasn't supposed to be on for Uncyc... yet another problem with this wiki being a constant "special case".

That's not to say there won't be a decision to turn it on for Uncyc at some point, but it won't be the broken version that was there. -- sannse (talk) 16:51, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

Note that some links are cached. These will clear after a while, but if you need to force it then you can purge by adding ?action=purge to the end of the URL - sannse (talk) 19:08, September 16, 2009 (UTC)
