After a long vacation from this compendium of unknowledge, I am surprised at the frequency of blatently hateful articles. I hope the definition of humor,satire and crapology hasnt changed to include derogatory and antagonistic articles --Nytrospawn 05:10, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

- I actually agree with him. When writing a satirical article for something you dislike, you need to channel it into humor that even makes your opponents laugh. Look at South Park, they criticise a lot of my opinions and views, but I just love it. -- Kip the Egg

- Kip speaks troof. I would add that to make a genuinely good joke about something, one must have a decent knowledge of that something. Hateful jokes and stereotypes are perpetuated because, even though they are ignorant and unimaginative, there are enough hateful and ignorant twits in the world who reinoforce the same stereotypes amongst themselves, giving the illusion that they are are funny. So the sad reality is that in order to write satire about something you dislike, you will have to at least read up on that subject, which carries the inherent risk of broadening your perspective and increasing your understanding and tolerance of unfamiliar things. The plus side to all this is that, as Kip the Dip pointed out, even people who disagree with you will find it funny in some way.
