In this article, I hope to stray away from the overused Sparta meme (SPARTAAAAAAAA!) that is found in the mainspace article. Once this article is good enough, I might replace the mainspace one with it. I hope it works... —Paizuri MUN (Talk • Contribs • Poll!)

Good plan. It will be vandalised in about 5 second due the the Memeism, but you might be able to convince an admin to do a protect on it once that's happened a few times. Could I make a quick suggestion? Too bad if you said no, because I'm going to anyway. Ignore the movie, completely and utterly. Make this about a quiet little Greek town that nobody has ever heard of, friendly locals, blah blah blah, and just make a one line reference to the historic battle right at the end like "Oh, and there was some kind of Battle of Thermopylae that the Spartans were involved in, but it's ancient history and nobody cares about it any more."
