At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Ministry of disinformation/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

We also have an impressive amount of rules that you should read, it'll take a couple of days at least. Then, you can reward yourself with our Welcome Party for Noobs!

If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome!  --‎ Talk Mattsnow 22:35, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

Polystation 3[edit source]

Hello and welcome, Ministry of disinformation! Polystation 3 is a very promising article! You have some funny lines, but there are several things that could be improved upon.

  • First of all, you're are writing about something that's non-existent, which is fine, but in that case, you might want to adopt a clear humour strategy, such as a parody of the actual console. This will give the article a point and make it go together better.
  • Second, although it is good to get inspiration from other Uncyclopedia articles, sometimes it can disturb you more than help you. For instance, the "they are Communists" joke is a very frequently used one, in a way, that it has already stopped being perceived as a joke, if it's unrelated to the thing the article is talking about. Same with censored and Captain Obvious. Getting rid of those ones will help your humour a lot!
  • Finally, you want to get ideas, a very good way is to consult Wikipedia and find what funny things can be said about, Playstation 3, for instance. I have a suggestion, but you don't have to use it: what I find most funny about consoles is how mad game fans are right before a new one goes out, how everyone wants to purchase it and then how quickly everyone starts complaining about it. You could try looking at consoles from that aspect in your article, but this is just an idea.

I put a template on this page, that serves as a reminder about the things that should be done, and that gives you a seven-day limit. Don't worry about that! You're free to move this page to your userspace (to User:Ministry of disinformation/Polystation 3) to work on it at your ease without any limits, if things get out of hand. Good luck and if you have any comments or questions to make, you are welcome to leave them right below or on my talk page! Anton (talk) 06:40, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
