At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Anomalous/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome! -- -- The Zombiebaron 04:13, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
UnNews:China shows off "Totarry Awershum" stealth fighter and stuff[edit source]
I moved this to your userspace, because, quite frankly, it looked awful and didn't seem to have much but randoms to it, but then the proofreader in me wanted to hit it with a frying pan... anyway, long story short, I fixed the formatting and grammar and made the title a little less... ah, needless, and put it back because suddenly it looked newslike. It was weird. Mind, someone else can pester you about whether or not it actually is properly newsy, with stuff about the actual subject and implementation of it and whatnot if he wants; UnNews ain't exactly my strong point, so I wouldn't know. But I will say this much - you do need to read the UnNews style guide, get a spellchecker, and learn how to use commas. Also, apparently the sources template works better when filled out, and categories only work if you remember to put 'category:' before them...
Also also, please don't sign your articles, UnNews or otherwise.
Also also also, if you want to put a construction template on something, actually start the construction, perhaps? May work better to just start them in userspace like Zombiebaron said, mind - can move them out later.
Nurg, not trying to be an arse or anything, but such and such might help matters... cheers. ~ 06:22, 12 January 2011
- More awake, now - it still doesn't seem to have much but randoms to it, but you may be able to make your case on VFD, where the article currently sits (blame the lack of alternate established course of action with UnNews; that wouldn't normally happen). You may also want to just work on it further, I dunno. ~ 18:08, 12 January 2011
