Hi There![edit source]

Ok, first thing is, always sign your posts on talk pages by putting four tildes at the end of what you say, like this ~~~~. Secondly, thanks for saying nice things about me (my ego is fragile). Yeah, I'll adopt you. Any questions or... whatever just ask me. -- congruent Ape (freeze) (Riot Porn) 23:17, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

hey[edit source]

I read Call from Grandma. It's great but needs more pictures. Take a look at the pictures at old people and old. --Docile hippopotamus 07:46, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

hey[edit source]

If you want you could ask your adopter An Ape That Only Exists on Thursdays to take a look at Call from Grandma. He could tell you what he thinks of it. And when someone writes a message you reply on the talkpage it is written on. --Docile hippopotamus 08:38, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Okay, yeah, sorry for the lack of knowledge...I'm still a noob, and I make tons of mistakes like that. Thanks for the advice! AlbinoZombie 23:32, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

OK[edit source]

First of all sign your posts on talk pages by putting four tildes (~~~~) at the end of what you say. Secondly, to put your article on Pee Review, just click the Pee Review link in the box on the left of the screen. Then type the name of your article in the box at the bottom and click create, then click "Save Page". -- congruent Ape (freeze) (Riot Porn) 22:51, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Okay, as I'm starting to actually use talkpages I'm learning more and more about proper conduct. I now know to respond to someone on the same talkpage. I just want you to take a look at my Call from Grandma article and tell me what you think of it...I want to make it as perfect as I possibly can...I want it to be noticed by Uncyclopedians, and I realize that VFH is an ambitious aspiration, but it's one that I must admit to. So I really just would like to know what you think of it. AlbinoZombie 23:21, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Sure. If you want people to notice it you should add it to recent articles (scroll down the main page, click the edit link in recent articles and then follow the instructions). -- congruent Ape (freeze) (Riot Porn) 14:28, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. What do you personally think of it? You don't have to read it in its entirety if you don't want to, but I'd love it if you'd at least skim through. AlbinoZombie 23:20, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
I think it has potential as an idea, but there's issues with the way its executed. I'll go into more detail when I have more time. -- congruent Ape (freeze) (Riot Porn) 21:13, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Okay, whenever you can, that would be great. AlbinoZombie 23:34, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Uhh, Ape? Not trying to rush you, but you've seemed pretty inactive this week...AlbinoZombie 07:15, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Ok, well you have a solid concept, i.e. that old people a) can't work things, and b) can't hear. There's quite a bit you could do with that. As it is, the article looks very ugly, with all the short fragments and sentences. Think about trying to go for longer sentences. The idea of mispronouncing words is quite good, but think about trying to work in some kind of double meanings, rather than just things like Bubritles. That's all I can think of right now. More anon. -- congruent Ape (freeze) (Riot Porn) 00:15, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Your sig[edit source]

Aah, thanks, I figured that out. I kept going back in and finding little places where I screwed up, but I finally got my sig to work. AlbinoZombie 23:35, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

What's the frequency Kenneth?[edit source]

Hey, just wanted to check in on my adopted noob to see how your getting on. Have you been eating right? You OK for money? -- congruent Ape (freeze) (Riot Porn) 21:42, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

I've slipped on the late-night tortilla chips, but other than that, I'm alright. I have seventy bucks to ride me on until Friday...thanks for checking. And for the R.E.M. reference. AlbinoZombie 07:08, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey Zombie[edit source]

I decided to answer your VFH question here in order to keep the spamness down :P

The reason I am abstaining from your article is because it feels like it is the start of a great concept that has much more potential that what it shows. My very first suggestion would be to create and introduction where you speak in first person of your account leading up to the phone call with grandma. The intro is one of the most important parts and should state something outrageously funny. That way more people find the article funny as a whole.

Next thing I would improve on is the images. Allot of people find at least 50% of the article's humor in the pictures and how those pictures relate to what is being said in the article. The grandma image is fine, but remember that the caption can also change the whole meaning of a picture. So if you want to use the grandma on the phone, make her say something outrageous like, "What's that dear? What's a gee-pee-es? Is that similar to a bed pan?" Or whatever, you catch my drift i'm sure.

Other than that, all I can suggest is avoid repeating jokes when writing the actual conversation, dont draw out the same idea for too long and find ways in which you could add something new to each part, or change it around until it becomes something original and unique, while sticking to the roots of the concept.

I hope that helps in some way let me know if you need anything else :) Sir ACROLO KUNFPWAOTMFA •(SPAM) 09:23, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
