Diseased vaginas (often referred to as "Festering Pussies" by those who wish to be crass) are delicate flaps of skin contaminated by viruses, bacteria, and/or fungi, found between the legs of female dogs, elephants, possums, and humans. For some inexplicable reason, they vaguely resemble ham sandwiches that have been left out in the sun for a few days.
