Robert Grant. Note the Confederate insignia present on his suit jacket. Take him seriously.

Hello. My name is Robert Grant, and I'm writing in to address a rather serious topic. Though you may not have thought of this yourself, and indeed will perhaps be shocked by what I'm about to say, I believe it's high time for it to be said. Politics suck. The groundbreaking nature of this statement will surely leave you all open-mouthed and gaping, but allow me to explain. When I refer to politics, I refer not to the actual state of government, no. Everyone knows that everything is better when there's a government involved. Surely everyone will agree that much of Africa, ruled by fanatical religious factions but ruled nonetheless, is better off than Iraq is now, as an anarchy. Thusly, I refer to politics in the abstract sense, the proverbial playing field upon which bureaucrats play their petty games.

Now, do not leave me just yet and denounce me a fool. Though I'm sure you have yet to think this way, by the time I am finished I am confident that I will have swayed your opinion to an unshakable new position. The world would be far better off if politicians would level with us, and be honest. Take, for example, a conflict most should be familiar with. It vastly affects today's society, and I'm sure that by now it has become a household name. I refer, of course, to the Chernobyl incident of 1986. This event, taking place at the very end of the Cold War, incapacitated millions and has led to a fear of nuclear power. This now affects us because nuclear power, which is our most promising resource for the future, has a bad reputation that is completely undeserved. Most of this stemmed from the government's lack of communication with the people, which led to rampant conspiracy theories surrounding the mess. If politicians weren't so busy playing the blame game and generally being retarded, nuclear power would replace environment-killing fossil fuels as a safe, completely healthy alternative energy source.

So, see, this is just one well-known example of what is becoming a percolating and tepid mess. Rapidly deteriorating into a mess of uni-partisan sentiment, the world stage has become a circus. Don't let this happen! Rebel, people, fight! But don't fight too hard. Because, as everyone knows, all government is good.
