Unlike an actual guitar, star power can be achieved via Guitar Hero. The neck of the guitar is bizarre if you think about it as well.

Guitar Hero is a video game for the guitarists who cannot play the actual guitar but desire to do so. Jamming the most mainstream of mainstream songs into its soundtrack, Guitar Hero can certainly guaranteed the feeling of shredding while allowing the user to know, deep down inside, that he or she isn't actually musically talented.

Development of Guitar Hero[edit | edit source]

When a musically-untalented Guitar Freaks fan, Bob, decided to learn guitar he was desperate to get laid. He believed that a man must become a guitarist to achieve this. However he was deemed incapable by his master, Eddie Van Halen, who promptly told him to give up on music forever as the industry had no place for him.

Bob returned home to play some Guitar Freaks before crying himself to sleep. While Bob "shredded", he was prone to dazing off into his own little world. He stopped playing the game for a few minutes and he looked outside his window and into the sun. Bob was immediately fascinating at the "striking roundness of the sun". He studied his observation rigorously and came up with the idea of striking round things to play music. This idea would later develop into the Guitar Hero video game.

Guitar Hero[edit | edit source]

The first installment in the franchise was Guitar Hero and it swept the nation quickly in the year 2005. The first game was more simple than the other ones; only utilizing a bass guitar. Due to the instrument-of-choice chosen for the game by developers, critics gave negative reviews about gameplay. However, the potential of the game and its appeal to untalented musicians followed with positive reviews.
