UnNews:Ugly Child Abducted, Quickly Returned

I'm relatively n00bish and I'm probably going to put up some more of my new articles to get read and reviewed. I would like some criticism on my things, though.

Humour:	6.4	I think the best words relating to this category would be ‘adequate mediocrity’. For someone who openly confesses to being a n00b, this is actually fairly impressive and offers a fair few chuckles. But then again, it’s far from side-splitting, and viewed simply as an UnNews it’s funny, but not all that funnier than the next one. Overall, I’d say that this article clearly shows a potential for humourous writing that you can expand and build upon to gain Uncyclopedic success, but in itself, the article is just a bit too average in its humour levels to be considered outstanding or feature material.
Concept:	7	Well, gingers and ugly kids have been picked on before, and kidnapping/rape stories have been parodied in UnNews a fair few times, but I think your choice of topic was a safe and adequate bet, especially for a new fellar, and that you’ve handled it in an impressive, if not outstanding, way that grabs the topic with relative confidence and squeezes an adequate amount, though by no means all, of its humourous potential out. I think that if you found a particularly original-and perhaps topical-topic that you can work with, you could easily end up with an impressive article that could, if you work it right, end up as potential feature material.
Prose and formatting:	6.9	For the most part the prose is good and consistent and appropriate for a news story, and sticks to the average expectancy, but there’s some very small, informal-sounding accidents-like “Moore made a face of disgust with the memory” (which, even if it had been grammatically correct, wouldn’t really have been suited to the proper tone of the news story)-that, although they may seem very minor, sort of shatter the effect. Maintaining a complete consistency of tone is very important, especially for an UnNews. Can’t complain much about formatting-the image is properly placed and everything…no, overall there’s not too much wrong here.
Images:	7	Well, obviously there’s not much to be said for quantity of pictures, but this is the standard for UnNewses anyway, and the chosen image, although simple, is effective, appropriate for the topic, and grabs the reader in the right way when they first read the article. Then again, there’s always that pesky possibility that something more could have been done-perhaps an image of a distraught-looking paedophile (or someone who looks like one). Still, there’s nothing that can really be called bad in this category.
Miscellaneous:	6.8	Averaged, as always.
Final Score:	34.1	An adequate article that, like I said, shows a clear potential, but in itself is just a little to ordinary and average to be outstanding. But keep it up, and your potential could lead you to great things around here!
