| Concept: | 1 | Oprah is a Burlesque of what she beleives that she is. Stories about her - even the made up ones - simply are not funny because they exist when she's an easy target for satire. Huh? Let me put this another way, simply because Oprah is Oprah, one can't attack her very many levels (especially on absurb terms) and come up with an instantly funny article. Now if Oprah had gone out and paid good money for a skin bleaching, well there you go: an Unnews story handed to the skillful writer on a silver platter is that event. |
| Prose and formatting: | 5 | The prose isn't bad. Sentences make sense and all that. As for the formatting, the basic premise of a news story, even in Uncyclopedia should be a strong lead paragraph, followed by short paragraphs. This would need to be broken up into multiple sort, pithy paragraphs. |
| Images: | 0 | Generally speaking, if Oprah has been to see the doctor, then the article would need a doctored photo to help sell the idea of gender reassignment. |
| Miscellaneous: | 0 | Try and watch the news and work on parody of current events before tackling fake news - you will always get better laughs. |
| Final Score: | 8 | This article scores low for me because: 1) Oprah is an easy target; 2)Oprah has not disclosed any major medical news in real time; 3)Next to fatty stories, sex change + Oprah = Low Hanging Fruit. My standards tend to be very high when it comes to Unnews articles and article entries on Uncyclopedia, so I hope that you understand that I'm not giving low marks because I'm a Bitch, but because the article needs to be spot on for me to get a chuckle. |
