UnNews:Man good at punching not liberal
Tuesday, December 8, 2015
Tyson Fury, who has made a career out of punching people in the face, does not hold particularly liberal views about women and homosexuals, it has been revealed.
Fury, who punched Wladimir Klitschko so many times that he won a belt, said:
- "I believe a woman's best place is in the kitchen and on her back. That's my personal belief. Making me a good cup of tea, that's what I believe."
- "She slaps up well... she looks fit in a dress" when asked what he thought of Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill.
- "There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the Devil comes home. One of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion and the other is paedophilia."
The comments were widely criticised, especially as Fury has been nominated for the BBC's never-lame Sports Personality of the Year award.
Hardline feminist Joanna Corey told UnNews: "Frankly, it's a disappointment. This is a man who came from an impoverished background and made it to the top - going from punching nobodies in the gym to punching some of the most important people in the world.
"He could have been a great role model for young hooligans. The kind of discipline needed to hit people repeatedly in the face has a huge effect on other aspects of kids' academic and work prospects.
"At least I think I read that somewhere."
Peter Tatchell, a human rights campaigner, claimed that Fury's comments could have a catastrophic impact on the essentially liberal and sensitive world of boxers and boxing fans.
"I expect we will see an increasing amount of discrimination towards women and homosexuals at boxing fights. Don't be surprised if the next time you attend one, the scantily-clad woman walking around holding up the number of the round receive a number of inappropriate catcalls like "Nice tits!", or if the exclamation 'Get up, you fucking poofter!' is used where once one would have heard the words, 'Hard luck old chap'."
