Keanu Reeves (right, pictured with, from left, Alex Winter and William Sadler) will be teaching an acting class at Julliard. Nobody is exactly sure why.

NEW YORK CITY -- Hollywood movie star and not-quite actor Keanu Reeves, often derided for his "acting" abilities, is inexplicably scheduled to teach an acting course at the prestigious Julliard School at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

The "actor" will take 30 students behind the scenes of his and director Dean Parisot's upcoming Untitled Bill & Ted Project, as well as Reeves's and Chad Stahelski's John Wick 2.

The world is still baffled as to why the minimally-talented surfer-dude film performer is teaching at such a prestigious and well-regarded film school. One whose alumni include the late, great Robin Williams, Kevin Spacey, Jessica Chastain, Val Kilmer, TV's Frasier Kelsey Grammer, Oscar Isaac, Kevin Kline, Christopher Reeve, and William Hurt; not to mention musicians sych as Miles Davis, John Williams, Philip Glass, Yo-Yo Ma, and the late, great Bernard Herrmann.

"I'm baffled, and deeply offended," says Ara Guzelimian, Provost and Dean of the Julliard School. "Keanu Reeves no more represents acting's finest, than Donald Trump represents the qualities of a United States president. Here at Julliard, we answer to a higher standard. We are not UCLA, Austin, USC, or any of those fluff film schools. We are the apex of fine acting."

The school tells UnNews that the "actor" will take 30 students behind the scenes of Reeves's latest films through recorded videos. The school says Reeves will make at least one visit to campus for the class, if he remembers to set his alarm.

Reeves was unavailable for comment, but he did say, "Whoa! I'm gonna teach the next big star how to be an actor. Cool, huh? That's totally rad! [mimicking 80s electric guitar solo.]"

This is not the first time Reeves has taught acting. He opened The Keanu Reeves School of Acting for a brief period in 1998.
