December began with Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker dying in a fiery typcasting accident. Then in what was arguably a better piece of acting that Walker himself had ever managed, Universal declared itself reluctantly preparing to make a profitable sequel. The name is still hot while the corpse is still warm is the message.
Rather selfishly overshadowing Walker's death a few days later was Nelson Mandela. Rather than follow the media crowd and feature endless eulogies of the South African figure head, UnNews found the real story: in an exclusive interview with the poor man who had to clean Mandela's deathbed.

Speaking of being forward, the delicious Fernanda Lima helped to make the draw for next year's Brazilian World Cup, leading many Iranian viewers to gouge out their eyes in an act of Muslim humility, and leaving England with a 'nightmare' draw.
And a final story from the world of sport: NBA legend Dennis Rodman raised eyebrows with his third visit to the KKK.
