Talk:Edit page
I created this article. Forgot to log in. Alksub 07:05, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Whoops! Looks like it's been done before. Twice. I knew about Text but just found Misleading. Have a strawberry day. Alksub 07:09, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- There's also Editing This page does not exist, Game:Do NOT click any links!/click34... ~ 07:55, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- OK, huff and redirect to Editing This page does not exist.
- Wait, a redirect won't work; it'll destroy the illusion. Alksub 19:03, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
The template should be animated[edit source]
Purty obvious if one can do such things. Mr. Briggs Inc. 01:50, 21 February 2007 (UTC) Eh?
Editing[edit source]
Usually real edit pages have Editing: in front of them. Should we use {{title|Editing:Edit page}} on it? -- Kippy the Elf Talk Works ☃ 07:23, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Deleted?[edit source]
Put this in a box with a 3pt blue border:
Warning: You are recreating a page that was previously deleted.
You should consider whether it is appropriate to continue editing this page. The deletion and move log for this page are provided here for convenience:
- 00:00, December 23, 2012 <insert name here> huffed "Edit page" (Voted for deletion)

- (yes, replying to something from 2011) - I like that. Maybe we could do a separate article, Editing This page does not exist; I'm already thinking of making cy:Yn golygu Does dim tudalen o'r enw hwn i gael, be:Правім: Нема такой старонкі and ga:Ag athrú Níl an leathanach ann (same thing in three other languages). Also I'd use {{admin}} rather than {{USERLINK}}. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 23:56, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
Mouseover text[edit source]
The buttons by the edit window all have mouseover text when you are actually editing a page e.g. if you hover over 'Watch this page' it says 'Add this page to your watchlist [alt-shift-w]'. There ought to be a way to do that in the article. I know we could do <span title="insert mouseover text here">
for some stuff but I don't know how one would go about doing this for the buttons. I will try to figure it out and implement it. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 23:49, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- Won't work, because it's
<input title="foo">
and there's no way I know of to insert <input> tags into a wiki page or any way to produce a title with <inputbox>. Oh well. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 20:30, 25 Jul 2014
