Jerkalopes survive on a steady diet of small lizards, cactus, small children, E85 gasoline, kittens, vulcanized rubber, Boy Scouts, Jackalopes, and the urine of Elvis. Jerkalopes also enjoy snorting Anthrax, freebasing the blood of Keith Richards and Kitten Huffing.

Mating

Jerkalopes mate only on the 31st of June. They females attract males by leaving trails of Magnetic Monopoles throughout their territories. The males track down the females and begin the mating ritual. The Jerkalope mating ritual consists of the male doing the Macarena while presenting the female with a gift of dead babies, radioactive isotopes, and Myrrh.

Anatomy

Jerkalopes resemble Jackalopes in several ways. Both resemble rabbits with antlers. However, male Jerkalopes have five or more pairs of razor sharp antlers. Females usually only have two or the pairs of antlers. Jerkalopes have no antlers at all during their first year of life. Adult male Jerkalopes typically stand about 5 feet high at the shoulder and weigh about 1200 pounds. Adult females stand about 4 feet high at the shoulder and weigh about 750 pounds. Female Jerkalopes have a renal gland that secretes magnetic monopoles during mating season. Jerkalopes can shoot antimatter out of their eyes.
