From Pee Review...[edit source]

Humour: 8 Good idea, well executed. Would be higher, but... you know, it's Harry Potter. And any jokes with him have been done to death a million times.
Concept: 6 There's nothing inherently wrong with the concept. However, it is not extremely original [which, considering the nature of the article, may be fitting.]
Prose and formatting: 9 The author's voice comes through clearly in the article. I noticed a bit of repetition, but nothing that can't be fixed.
Images: 8 They do the job.
Miscellaneous: 8 Not bad.
Final Score: 39 I really want to see some new concepts injected into this, some grammatical awkwardness cleaned up, and some repetition destroyed, and you've got a high-quality featured article.

Although it could use some paragraph breaks, it is pretty funny. Ж Cake-eating Cave Monkey or was it a giant monster or a robot? 04:25, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah it made me laugh. Not as much as the fact that Rowling herself ripped-off every children's book ever published, of course. :P Blue-cobalt 10:50, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Lol this article is so true. My friends like to write harry potter stories even though they are like 16 I used to read fantasy before harry potter and you can really tell that every new kids book is heavily influenced by it. Harry Potter clones. I don't know what you people see in HP.

just one problem[edit source]

I must make this clear that I am not defending JK, for that is folly.

This article is highly accurate but in one respect: JK Rowling DID throw the "random ethnic character card" and the UK is probably blacker than where you come from. See the Patil sisters, Cho Chang, all those ginger kids (that counts obvz), Alicia Spinnet, Angelina Johnson, etc. Not saying you should change the article; I just wanted to be an asshole and point that out. --Man in the Ceiling 02:09, 8 July 2008 (UTC).

Re: just one problem[edit source]

I really doubt that, dear sir, since I live in Chicago. You can basically take a picture on any crowded street corner and find someone from every race in it if you look hard enough... Except for Native Americans, since they're mostly all dead or working in casinos/reservations. Just looking at how Britain developed "chavs" to get looked down upon by the richer population clearly shows they don't even have the races necessary to become racist.

Back to your topic, I wouldn't consider a few background characters enough to deem the series an ethnic rainbow. Sure, there might be that nameless black kid in the background that says "Hi Harry!" or something to the effect in every movie, or a few colored faces in the crowd, but that doesn't cut it for me. Harry's one Asian girlfriend and the twins he and Ron had for last minute prom dates are still pretty minor if you ask me. They aren't in the 30 most important characters in the series, and were most likely just to say "See! We're not racist!" just like the few faces in the crowd.

What I found pretty funny was how you called the "ginger" kids a seperate race. God, I know you Brits don't quite take to the Irish, but no reason to take it that far. We don't want another Holocaust, this time ordered by Tony Blair. --Señor Flipwits Earl the box.jpg 125px-Flag of Mongolia.svg.png 800px-Jolly-roger.svg.png >>>Vocalize!<<< ~~Make Good Job of Reading~~ 16:32, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Didn't you know yet? The Jews will lead the next Holocaust. -Sockpuppet of an unregistered user 22:22, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
