Gaither’s Pond is a surreal Christian Fever Dream created by you guessed it: Gaithersburg, Maryland, funded by taxes from a district containing only 10 houses.

Summary and Episodes[edit | edit source]

The show is about a bunch of fish with human faces similar to that of The Annoying Orange, but they did it with CGI. This is what makes it look like..that.. Also it’s Religious. No wonder this place is known for being the Gospel center of Maryland.

The Lure Depths[edit | edit source]

Basically it’s just that hook episode from Spongeboy Ahoy. Released in 1989,Most people consider this to be the 1st episode of the series,accounting to said episode fitting the descriptions of the episode by the city as: “SPONGEBOB COPIED US! WE WILL HAVE GOD SMITE STEPHEN HILLENBURG!

Call Mi, Catch Mi![edit | edit source]

The fish and frogs begin playing this game called Call Mi, Catch Mi! With their new cellphones,which Nokia specifically licensed the city to use. It’s unknown when this episode came out,but it’s estimated to be around 1994. Note that this is the only episode who’s Spanish dub is the only one that exists.

FishTales[edit | edit source]

The animation does a step up from Low-Poly “Fish.” to the fish faces the series is known for. Most likely the title was to try to compete directly with VeggieTales.According to the sales,Veggietales definitely won the battle. This was released in 2001.

The Great Divide[edit | edit source]

Basically the fish become divided over news of the Doorbees (Marbles). Coming over and setting up shop on the pond, polluting the pond with plastic. They solve this by rerouting the trash to a garbage truck thanks to a wisecracking frog and Fish Jesus. This was released in 2002.

The Blasphemy at Gaither’s Pond[edit | edit source]

A Human falls down into the water of Gaither’s Pond as some of the fish and frogs worship the human. The frogs get sent to France and the fish get sent to your local ShopRite. This was released in 2004.

Lost Media[edit | edit source]

The show has at least 10 other missing episodes but because the city’s film archives got burnt down via an arsonist in 2010, these episodes are lost.However,the city has made some discoveries and plans to release 2 of them as a Christmas special, The 15th and 7th episodes are going to be released Simultaneously.

Philly Billy in all it’s Philly Glory.

The show doesn’t even mention their names except for Philly Billy, a fish who attempts to start a rebellion in an unknown episode, presumed to be most likely Beaver Invasion II.

Distribution[edit | edit source]

The City distributed it throughout the Washington D.C.-Baltimore Area via SeaFood Ships, a Distributing company. It was also distributed internationally and even got a Spanish dub,distributed via local television stations such as WTMM,which was how Call Mi, Catch Me! was found. However,It’s English dub is still missing.

Reception and Legacy[edit | edit source]

The series was universally panned primarily due to it’s animation. The dislikes say: “The only reason why Christians made it last as long as it did was because..it’s Christian.” Despite the bad reviews, most Marylanders and Virginians view the episodes with nothing more than nostalgia,some considering it to be the pride of Gaithersburg.

Strange Noises[edit | edit source]

The Holy Banana started emitting strange noises every single time an episode was released which was now recognized as Venetian Snares’ Chinaski.
