Forum:UnBooks Club Proposal
Hindleyite suggested over the IRC that UnBooks could use an "Unbooks Club". The idea, vague and ambiguous as it may be, seems to be centered around rating and commenting on new UnBooks. Oh wait, Hindleyite has know suggested it be like the Departure of Fun, with "member lists and book lists etc". Basically, everything you'd do with a regular old book club, but Cyber-fied! Post your suggestions, comments, and death threats here, please. With enough coming together of ideas, the UnBooks Club might be birthed from the egg sac of wisdom. --Señor DiZtheGreat CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) What he said, but without the egg sacks.
Just an idea to try and get more people writing for and participating in the UnBooks project. Basically it'll just be a constantly updated book review type thing, similar to UnBooks VFH but a sort of cyberificated twist. Ahem. Members can compile book and author lists, pass comment on any books posted there and basically sit round in circles with cups of tea and Penguin bars pretending to have read the books. It is hoped this way, authors will get more credit. Any suggestions etc. would be appreciated, people. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 17:20, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
What's a Penguin Bar?; that's all I wanna know for now. --Señor DiZtheGreat CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 18:27, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- It's a bit like a Crow Bar, but sold in the southern hemisphere. FreeMorpheme 19:36, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
I was skeptical of the UnBooks project from the beginning, and this just seems like a horrible waste of time: We discuss books(which are really articles) and mention our favorite books articles to other people in the club? Sounds like IRC without a purpose, if you ask me. -- 21:16, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- I think this is a great idea! Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me!
