Hello everyone! This year we're crossing all possible borders with The First Inter-Annual Article Whisperer: it's starting on December 28, 2014 (in about two weeks) and end on January 10, 2015! Stay ready and inspired, and, most important, prepare to enjoy yourselves! Any questions or comments may be left here, on the competiton's talkpage or on mine. Anton (talk) 17:48, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

You can already start picking up your topics or signing up as judges, if you think that giving scores is cooler than writing! Anton (talk) 17:36, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

Several points

  • As far as I understand, before the competition starts, the organiser is supposed to determine what are the most wanted, requested and vital articles and then asks all participants to pick one topic from a category. I am not sure how effective it is as a technique and propose that the list of the most wanted/requested/vital articles will be there for advice and ideas, but not obligatory to choose from. Any ideas?
  • I am holding the same contest on the Wikia Uncyclopedia and planned them as two different competitions. However, I think that it'll be very interesting and fun if we could work together on something during that time period, such as collaborating on articles for one specific category. It can be done without, as Wikia says, diverting their resources here or ours there, by, for instance, getting together on neutral resources (such as a specific IRC channel). What do you think? • I looked at wikia and SPIKE is still making accusations that happy monkey inter competition was designed to take people away from wikia to the fork. This is very tiring old shit...and I personally (and I doubt many users here will) don't want anything ever to do with SPIKE-O-NOIA and you can be sure that he will disrupt the tournament no matter how neutral a place it is that we meet. --ShabiDOO 03:04, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
SPIKE has every reason to be paranoid. Before the Happy Monkey I barely knew what the fork was. However I did not rush over here as soon as I saw this as an alternative: it must have been more than a month later, when I was blocked for three days and wanted to continue writing something. I've just realised this point is quite irrelevant. Best regards! --EveryOtherUsernameWasTaken(get dtf) 15:33, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
No he doesn't. There was never any conspiracy of any kind. If he wasn't such an asshole, didn't try to sabotage the tournament, if he didn't talk all the time about people moving to the for:k...then as many people would not have moved here to the fork. He is responsible for people running away. It is a self-fulfilled prophecy. And now that it actually happened he is even more paranoined than anyone and even more incapable of looking in a mirror when things go sour on the wikia. --ShabiDOO 20:15, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
Ok, that was just a proposition. If it worries you, I won't do anything of that kind. However, as I said out there, if any user will be willing to enter an inter-wiki collaboration of any kind, I'll be glad to make it possible. Also, Shab, Every, are you participating in the contest? Anton (talk) 13:13, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
A competition is a competition, it shouldn't matter who the participants are. I'd just request that if you do make this an inter-wiki collaboration, you pay special attention to ANY users who try to bring Wikia-fork politics into this whole thing. They'll be as disruptive to any collaboration as vandals and spambots, and should be treated as such. Lord Scofield Stark 11:45, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
