Is there any movement towards updating the system for IE7? I know all coders hate MS but I'm sure a trillion people will use it, and the beta version doesn't like editing here much. FreeMorpheme 12:09, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

I use IE7, and it sucks. I rather like Firefox a lot better. Microsoft broke a lot of web pages when it made IE7, and it is still in beta phase. Maybe Microsoft will fix IE7 before releasing it. Anyway IE is full of security holes, so enjoy your Rootkits. :) --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 17:34, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
I use Firefox for editing here because IE7 doesn't like it, but seeing as MS finally got around to tabbed browsing and png transparency tons of people will switch over, like it or not. Just hope they make it more compatible with here, I suppose. FreeMorpheme 18:03, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
You're right with that. I remember the day i gent noticed that Xp got more than 1 desktop, just like linux...., then i realize that the new Windows (Windows Vista) also got a Desktop Bar with Latest news, the Date/Time, etc... Just like Google Desktop... It is sad to watch that kind of war, for me at least. I got a question... IE7 supports Java/JavaScript like Firefox?. thanks. Kane 18:28, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Basically Microsoft saw Firefox, and all the features it has, and implimented most of them in IE7, ignoring intellectual property laws because they are Microsoft and have a giant army of lawyers. If you want to arrive in IE7 early, try Firefox instead. Firefox has better security than IE, and I hope Microsoft fixes the crappy security in IE7 before it goes out of beta. I use IE7, but it sucks so bad, that I am using Firefox instead. --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 23:05, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
IE will never stop sucking. Microsoft added tabbed browsing as a way to compete with Firefox. But Firefox is still much better because it is open source, hence, no need for marketing. Microsoft will fix all of IE's security issues, and add more in the process so that you have to upgrade again. That is how they make money. Mozill does not need to make money, so they don't do that. --Atomsk.gif Kaizer the Bjorn takkun Nya? (nya nya) (1961 model!) Check out T61! 01:16, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
I use Opera and I have for some time now. Firefox is pretty good...Netscape is allright, but nomatter what MS does, IE, Outlook and just Windows will never stop sucking. Go Linux / Mac OS X! --User:Sparky2002B 03:28, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Actully Mozilla Corp. makes about 50 million dollars a year. Plus FireFox stole most of their features from other browsers such as Opera. And as for secuity, Firefox's security is worse than many other browers. And Linux sucks ass comapre to OSX. 70.48.250.32 09:34, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Firefox also has spell-checking software, which might be useful for you. You are also a pathetic IP user and shall be smited by my glorious lance. --Atomsk.gif Kaizer the Bjorn takkun Nya? (nya nya) (1961 model!) Check out T61! 13:11, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Actually that 50 million dollars is not from Firefox sales, but from donations from IBM, Red Hat, and a whole community of open source supporters. Opera is open source, no wait, it isn't! Didn't Opera just switch from a Spyware/Adware software model in its free version of its browser to a version that does not have Spyware/Adware advertising? Gee, I wonder why? Linux is older than OSX, more stable, and supports more hardware. Also Apple just closed the source on OSX, and it used to be open source, but not it isn't. OSX has move overhead and needs faster systems with more memory because of how bloated it is, next to Linux which can run great on a 128M 100Mhz Pentium 1 or 100Mhz 603 system, that OSX wishes it can run on. Gee, Opera and OSX are superior? Only to know nothing egotistical jerks who cannot spell properly like yourself, I guess? --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 00:48, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
WRONG! Actully those 50 millions are from Google. Google pays Mozilla Corp. because Firefox use google as the default search engine. Yep, everytime you use Firefox's little search bar to search on google, Google pays Mozilla Corp. Why did Opera change to freeware licensing model? Because they have learned from FireFox, and now also getting paid by Google for making google the default search engine. And no, Linux is not more stable than OSX, OSX is about a million times better looking, more stable and more user friendly than Linux. Sure Linux has lower system requirment than OSX, but who really give a damn anyway, OSX is designed to run on cutting edge computers, not 20 years old junk. Next time, do some research before trying to argue with other people. YourMoms 03:01, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Actually since 2003 1 IBM, Red Hat, et al have donated to the Mozilla foundation. If you want an easy to use Linux, try Linspire or Xandros. Red Hat Fedora is easy enough and stable enough for me, and it is free. OSX only runs on Macintosh hardware, Linux runs on practically everything. How is that for research? --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 14:13, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Bah, spell checker, another worthless feature. I don't need no software to tell me how to spell my shit. YourMoms 20:57, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Reminds me of a 1990 MacWorld essay called "Does the Mac make you stupid?" when college professors found that students using Macintoshes were more prone to writing fluff, with spelling and grammar mistakes, and students using PCs had written much better papers without as many mistakes. "Actully" (SIC) shows just how your Mac is affecting your brain when you cannot even spell simple words. You also used a double negative "I don't need no software to tell me how to spell my shit" the don't and no cancel each other out, and your sentence becomes "I need software to tell me how to spell my shit". --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 23:35, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm sick of all these browser wars. Honestly, put a sock in it. --User:Nintendorulez 00:41, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
He's right, why do we need to argue about this. We could all just admit that Firefox is superior. --Atomsk.gif Kaizer the Bjorn takkun Nya? (nya nya) (1961 model!) Check out T61! 15:16, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
*sighs* it's like at the school I go to... not about browsers, but places, people... ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 15:57, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Yeah it is like 1984 when the Macintosh came out, and every Mac user said that their computer was better than all the rest, or the late 1970's when it was the Apple, CP/M, Commodore, Atari, Sinclair wars over who had the better system. It was originally all about browsers here, and why IE7 doesn't work with Uncyclopedia. I stated that IE7 is still in Beta and that Firefox works better for me, as I use IE7 and I find it lacking. Suddenly some anonymous IP user with bad spelling all of a sudden says that OSX is superior to Linux, which has nothing to do with IE7/Firefox, as OSX uses Safari as a bundled browser not Opera. Prompting me to reference an essay written in 1990 about how the Macintosh might make people stupid. Back to the point, Wiki is designed for standard HTML and standard Javascript, which IE7 doesn't fully support yet, so it breaks. The solution is to use a different browser until Microsoft fixes IE7 and releases it out of beta testing. Firefox, Opera, Netscape, Safari, whatever, I don't care as long as Uncyclopedia works with it, unlike IE7 which doesn't work well with others. --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 19:38, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't think the Sinclair existed until 1980 (ZX80), 1981 (ZX81, Timex) or 1982-83 (ZX Spectrum). The others existed in the late 70's. --Carlb 19:44, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Wish I'd never mentioned it now. You do seem to be taking it all rather personally though, Orion. You're not Mitchell Baker, are you? FreeMorpheme 19:51, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Not any more than the YourMom poster is Steve Jobs. I was born on June 6th in the 1960's, so I might be the AntiChrist. Yet why would a so called AntiChrist support Firefox and not the highly evil IE7? Still I have amazing psychic powers as a result of having three 6's in my birthdate. --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 00:06, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Nah, FireFox is the ultimate evil. 128.100.31.170 21:59, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Speaking of the Anti-Christ. People are freaking out about what's going to happen on June 6. People are rumoring about the Anti-christ and starting to panic. Geez. People need to calm down. I don't know what's going to happen that day. It might be a normal day or the day that everyone on this earth disappears. I think I should start reading the bible and repent.--Jtaylor1Small Egg.png 04:38, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Remarkable how any discussion about IE7 eventually ends up in a debate about the Anti-Christ . -- Vosnul 06:37, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

I thought the Antichrist was still using Infernal Explorer 6.6.6? --Carlb 06:40, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

No, The prince of darkness still uses Dos S Hell -- Vosnul 08:13, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

As opposed to os/2's PMS hell .exe? --Carlb 10:42, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

You don't really mean Pentagonal Multi S hell do you ??? ... Freak,. -- Vosnul 11:05, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

And that opens up a portal to where? --Carlb 01:35, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
