I want to make articles on Tekken characters how do I make a new page for them? – Preceding unsigned comment added by Mailrus (talk • contribs)
- Well, Mailrus, first things first. The <!-- and --> are used to hide text. Text, you see, is sneaky. Also, sometimes you want to give instructions that won't appear (and get in the way) on the finished page. Sometimes, both.
- First, giving you a mild case of deja vu, sign forum posts with ~~~~. When logged in, this will sign the post with your username and time when you save the edit.
- First, but a totally different first than the previous one, listed earlier, and the earlier one, which appeared before that one, it's generally best to start pages as subpages of your userpage, like User:Mailrus/Tekken (characters), or User:Mailrus/Give Modusoperandi some candy, dagnabit. Then, when the page is complete, move it (with the "move" tab near the top) to an appropriate mainspace name, like Tekken (characters) or Seriously, where's the candy, dagnabit?. This will help to minimize the chance of a page that you're working on getting deleted from right under your nose.
- Finally, also first, clear as mud? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 10:18, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm. This topic seems to have killed its own Forum template. A MENACE TO OUR SOCIETY, I SAY! Unsolicited conversation Extravagant beauty PEEING 23:11, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
