I'm not entirely certain if this is the right place I should be asking this — I pretty much spend a majority of my time in RadicalX's Corner, so I don't get out much — but I'm looking for somebody who knows something about HTML. Specifically, I'm trying to figure out how to get this image to appear as if it's dripping across the top of an article. Ideally, it wouldn't interfere with the reader (that is, it wouldn't act as a link to the image's page, and users could click on the links below it). I honestly don't even know if what I'm asking for is possible, but I would love if somebody could help out.

Yeah, it's possible. Which page do you want it on? Not really possible to do well with wikicode, but can be put on with CSS. It's quite a funny effect, ha ha. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 06:35, 15 May 2009

Oh, that's good to know. I've been toying with the idea of rewriting the Elfen Lied article so that it actually has some sort of consistency and point to it. This is my userspace version of it (which is currently just a copy/pasted version of the current Uncyclopedia and Wikipedia articles), where I was planning to have the dripping blood. The series is gratuitously violent, so I figured that ought to be harped on a little more. -- KneeChee 13:14, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

After playing around with some of the code, I think I've been able to lay out the bare bones of a dripping blood template which would make it easier to edit the article seperately. Of course, I'm still having issues with the image's interference with other things on the page (you can't click on anything beneath it), and the tabs at the top of the page appear on top of the blood — as opposed to under it, where they ought to be. Finally, I'm not quite sure how to repeat the image from left to right without making the screen stretch, add an unnecessary scroll bar at the bottom of the page, or stack the images vertically. -- KneeChee 20:42, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Something like that could work, though I'm still noticing that the "forum" tab in the upper left corner of the screen seems to leave an aesthetically unpleasing overlap. And, since I'm viewing the page with a wide-screen monitor, the blood just suddenly stops before reaching the page's right side, so I'll still need to find some way to have it repeat. Thanks for figuring out the interference issues, though. At least that's one out of three problems fixed. -- KneeChee 21:11, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I believe I've figured it all out. The template is kind of a mess, but it works. Now it looks like the blood is dripping over the text without interfering with the links. If somebody could help me to get that bloody potato to link to the main page, that'd be great (though I'm sure if I fiddle with it for a few more hours, like I have been with everything else, I'll eventually figure it out). Seeing as the page is going to rely more on appearance than actual content, I'd like to make sure that the template is perfect.
