Hello all,
What's the difference between en.uncyclopedia.co and uncyclopedia.ca? Multiple elements of both websites seem very similar (albeit with some differences) and are obviously both called Uncyclopedia. Kovon97715 (talk) 21:11, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

Uncyclopedia.co (us) is the official Uncyclopedia. To answer this question, you have to go back at least as far as 2013. Uncyclopedia was originally part of Wikia (now Fandom), and their meddling, rules and censorship over the years led the larger part of the community to pull a 1776 on them back in 2013. We created a fork, Uncyclopedia.co while some people stayed behind at Wikia/Fandom. In 2019, Fandom announced that it was evicting their version of Uncyclopedia. A merger was planned, but the Fandom Uncyclopedia pulled a fast one on us. They secretly moved to a new domain, Uncyclopedia.ca. So, long story short, we (.co) are the official Uncyclopedia and .ca are the Tories who got left behind. Basically this. We split from the Uncyclopedia hosted on uncyclopedia.wikia.com so we could have more creative freedom. Most of the writers left to join uncyclopedia.co (this site!) but some people remained on the old wiki, mostly of the anal retentive kind. Wikia (now fandom) kicked that Uncyclopedia from Wikia, and they found new hosting and moved to uncyclopedia.ca. There was also a failed vote on merging, and other fun details, but you'll have to ask people who were there personally, mainly Lyrithya, Bizzeebeever, EMC, Zombiebaron among others. While both of your responses are factually accurate, Kovon97715 didn't ask about the history of our projects, they asked about the differences between our projects. I'm not sure I can speak to that, as I don't really pay much attention to uncyclopedia.ca, but what I do know is that they have a considerably smaller userbase, less activity, and abhor the usage of chat servers to communicate with other wiki contributors. I urge anyone interested to check out both wikis for themselves to find out what the differences are, because as has been said above, we had a creative divergence about 7 years ago. -- The Zombiebaron 23:20, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
