On the 28 March someone pointed me towards a goatse link that was on one of Starnestommy's user subpages. The article was called HowTo:Pull a Goatse (found here) which included a goatse link which looked like [goatsewebsiteadress Click here!]. So that's my reasons for the ban, but he's complained about the ban and said how he was going to remove it before he moved it to the mainspace. But, the fact that the summary he made last on it was "Done!" seems to go against this.
Surely the rules are that there are no shock porn links anywhere on the site, and that there isn't special rules saying that "I'm allowed to do anything in my userspace".
So people think it should be a reduced ban, what do you think? —Braydie 18:16, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- There isn't a special rule that allows people to do whatever they want in their userspace, but having said that everyone makes a mistake from time to time. I've spoken with Starnestommy and he does seem to be a genuine guy. I also think that he realises the error of his ways. I for one would be happy to give him a second chance. -- Sir Mhaille

- Perhaps he should be given one last chance, and if he messes up again, he's gone. And only allowed back if he agrees to that and doesn't complain incessantly if he's banned again. - He has my support. I talked to him on IRC shortly after the ban, and he seemed genuinely sorry - the amount of good work he does on here - clearing up after vandalism etc. - should be taken into consideration. He knows the rules, but his excuse seems believable enough, and I have no doubt he won't do something like that again. RabbiTechno 17:53, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
