Babel talk:Main Page
Could someone create a dutch uncyclopedia? I have no idea who to ask this or where to ask it, so I post it here.
- If you want to create a different language Uncyclopedia submit it as a new Wikia, they will almost assuredly approve it.--Surreal Hamster
- Or see Project:How to start a new Uncyclopedia. By the way, did you write the German "Die freie Wissensdatenbank" grammatically wrong ("Der freien Wissensdatenbank") on purpose? 62.116.68.236 15:27, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
I think we'd rather keep in this page only the languages which actually have some content, or at least a main page (like simple english).--Rataube 16:34, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Do we really need this page? An updated one with only the languages which have uncycs or babel: pages are listed is at http://uncyclopedia.info . ~ 11:09, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Most of the pages in the Babel: namespace are useless by now. Cs: Hu: Pt: (which is mostly Pt-br:) Zh-tw: all have their own wikis now, the list of Uncyclopædias is on info:, the requests for new languages, how to start a new Uncyclopedia and the like are on UnMeta, a few of the pages here might be worth keeping for historical reasons or because of inbound external links.
In some cases, there are small collections of pages (typically ten or less in each set) that exist only here on en:babel: - many (but not all) of them are front pages for various reskins (um, how does one reskin a potato?). Pity the admin who happens to be on duty the day someone finally wakes up and drops six hundred babble: pages onto QVFD, leaving sixty or less still standing. That'd be a lot of deletions. --Carlb 01:04, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- Err... what? ~ 16:59, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
New one[edit source]
Wouldn't it be better to replace this one, with this one? Marconius 10:30, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Done, finally! Though our article counts won't update until someone updates {{pagecount}} from the one at uncyclopedia.info. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 07:15, 19 Sep 2007
The one on .info is done by a 'bot, there's info on the uncyclopedia.info template's talkpage about it. (The one on de: *was* updated once a month, by manually stealing .info's list. It hasn't been updated for two months now.) There's also one on s23.org that's done by some sort of 'bot. Certainly something any of the existing 'bots could be programmed to do?
Maybe bribe them with a litre or two of 10W40. :)
That links like bg: and uk: don't work here is a problem. When crossposting from .info to here; links such as lt: and et: are wrong so the linked wikis won't match the posted stats. 66.102.80.223 --00:03, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
