Bothering you again

I've been noticing yet more spamming like edits with this: [[Image:Sternman.jpg|thumb|right|50px|]] : Again the articles yo've worked on could almost certinly do with some love, but blanket edits or templates, images or quotes are genraly frowned upon. I don't want to seem like I'm picking on you, but you come up on recnt changes with like 6/7 pages with almost identical edits. These realy aren't a good idea. Above on RAHB's welcome there are number of guides which should help you make better edits;)--Sycamore (Talk) 12:40, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

"Taking Down"

You, uh, you do know that just blanking an article isn't the same as taking it down, right? It can be reverted in the blink of an eye, and presto, all the content's back again! (Plus, there's a small chance you'll get a ban for blanking - although given you're the author, that's less likely).

If you genuinely want rid of it, as the sole author and contributor, you can go to QVFD, and list it on there, mentioning beside it that it is an author request possibly even sign it so it's clear the request is from you. The admins will then either delete it, or let you know why they aren't doing so. Hope this helps! --UU - natter 11:07, Jul 24

To tell you the truth, I don't see why we need to remove it. It offends someone? Well, then he's probably in the wrong web site. I didn't actually see any good explanation from Smuggler why it should be removed. You'd better place it in pee review and work on it, if YOU think it warrants more work, rather than deleting it. ~ 11:36, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

I think what you said is merited. I did leave it the article up there in Pee Review. In a way, I think it needs more work, and some toning down, to tell you the truth. I would also like to hear if people like Smuggler have any tips or anything to tone down the article as well. I just didn't want to appear or be that offensive.
