howdy Al[edit | edit source]

You mentioned that there are a bunch of pages with pop-up images that aren't hidden properly. If you can get me a list of those, I can just make a template and use it to fix those articles. As a matter of fact, there's probably already a proper template, I just need to find it. But, yeah. List. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngSun, Jan 6 '13 6:28 (UTC)

Thanks. You mean "fix" by removing the images as in Cemetery of the Absurd (boo) or actually code-fix them so they go back to being hidden (yay!). And shouldn't the code be fixed on the entire site, so imbedded images stay put? Some pages I can remember are Never on Sunday (sigh, I miss the in-edit choices, when you start typing and the article name comes up, I wish wikipedia had that too), People Who Like to Fuck Naked, UnBooks:My Daddy Has Two Yachts, a few more, I put single ones in lots of page. I'll get back here on that, thanks again. Al 11:58 (yay, the clocks back in the corner, woo woo!) 6-1-'13
p.s. Ghosts never seem to play fair, lots more. I went through a period where those were another layer of the joke or satire. I put a great Lincoln one somewhere that made me laugh and laugh. Pearl necklace has some near the bottom. I think Warm piss water has a couple in the See also. Ah, and James Bevel (check out when he was walking around with a noose around his neck, he did that for a long time). Enough to start, although I'm sure there's more.
I didn't remove the pop-up images from Cemetery of the Absurd. I put them inside <span>s instead of <div>s. Go through the article. You'll find them! ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngSun, Jan 6 '13 12:13 (UTC)
Ah, my mistake, and thanks for offering to go through more of that busy-work. I'll check for more right not, try to shake my memory as I look over the page titles. Al
p.s. I'm laughing at the juxtoposition of the two pics at the bottom of Warm piss water, perfect. I want to find that Lincoln one. p.s.s. Ah, it's in Bed, along with a lot of other overlapping pics. They took a long time to load, so when you look at them wait a few seconds for all of them to come up. Kind of like them all sticking out like that. (Also two releated pages, Disguise and Disguise/disguised, and Above Top Secret where the images had gone see-through.
{{PopupImage}} by the way. Nominally Humane! 12:26 06 Jan
Thanks Puppy, I'll have to practice using that. The day moves along, and I must to. Al

Americans[edit | edit source]

Would an American get the idea that Indian speakers of English over-use the gerund form of the verb and often say 'please' when we wouldn't? Or is this a bit of a Britannical joke? UnNews:The new looks sweeping the Muslim world Leverage (talk) 15:11, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

I don't know what a verb is (true, if you asked me to define it I couldn't, and please don't try to teach me). And I actually don't know what "gerund" means, or what Americans think, so this whole message is so far over my head that doves cry - and I can't even hear them! Al 16:26 that day
p.s. I just looked up "gerund" and it's gibberish to me. I'm not kidding, parts of speech are a stupid concept in my universe, they really have no meaning to me.
I wasn't sure of your nationality and was curious so I wrote you :D . As for the grammatical jargon not to worry. I actually slipped up in calling them gerunds, but that is Spanish getting to me. Basically I meant overuse of words ending in -ing. Anyway, did you think it funny? That's maybe more important.
Yes, it is a very good page. Clever, interesting, and unique. My nationality? I'm half eskimo and half some kind of asian/aboriginal mix. It's confusing at parties when every side of the family shows up, and Uncle Ji always manages to sell snow to my dad, who's not very bright for a man who knows how to skin and cut up a walrus with just an icicle. One not very interesting suggestion on the news page, maybe you can link the word you use (I forget what it is now) to a wikipedia page. I'm one of those strange birds who likes to educate the readers and stuff information in their face and dare them to learn it, no matter how stupid they are, like my dad. Jeez, it was fine, and funny. I need the practice using that code. I just don't understand how any of them can show up without naming the file within the code. I'll practice on James Bevel and some other pages I found, but might yell for help. 'Al years later

I am passionately kissing you to wish you a happy new year and thanks for bringing me to this site! And yes, things are going very well. I missed you, and I missed sharing my weird, adolescent humor with all the unappreciative jerks around here, as well as yourself. I had my birthday last Sunday, and it was fun. How have things been with you?

Thank you. And Happy Birthday! If I were a boy, or Roberto Carlos, I'd kiss you right back. In my case I'd be imprisoned, which is like a second home to me but I am in the middle of planning a couple of heists so staying outside has its benefits. How is your scorpion or moth or cicada article going, it made me laugh so much. I've been good, not writing many new things except UnNews, but I've been polishing things in progress, going from one to another. Things in real world stuff go well too, although many more of the moneys could be jumping into my pocket. Monkeys too. Watch out for bats in the house, so you can dance with them. Your weird humor is some of the funniest I read here, and the cicada page, polished like three diamonds, has no right not being featured. And we are still the "content free" encyclopedia? And look, I'm just Aleister on this site for real, even though I've used that name for a couple of years now. Good to see you, yay! Happy Birthday again! Just Aleister 12:27 19-1-'13

The cicada page has been going well, I have added a few minor edits and I am quite glad of the fact that on this website, when you put an image gallery, it doesn't have stop at four and then make a new row, because that was a big waste of space at the Wikia site. XD hahahaha, thanks again for bringing me to this site. --Care for a rose? the dorky contralto Proudly Mexican Did I mention I'm like 1/8 or 1/16 Korean? It's a long story. What was it you once said about me self-nomming and you supporting me? Hmm? Hmm? Leverage (talk) 14:07, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Well, I didn't read it because I know what a sick sick mind you have. Then after you pushed me here like a dog pushing a mouse off a gangplank, I read it, and it was good as always. Still a sick sick mind though. Aleister much later on 25-1-'13
Unrelated to this thread and more related to what you posted on mine about follow ups - I would like to see a follow up in 6 months' time to Brown Rice. Two words: Affair. Couscous. Leverage (talk) 15:54, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Good idea, although the page concept is that he loves brown rice so much he marries it, but keeps eating it and other things too. But how about quinoa? I had my first quinoa two days ago and it is amazing. All the health food people and books are pushing it, and the sad news is that it's called "The Mother grain" in South America but many South Americans can't afford it anymore because it's in fashion in europe and America. I can vouch for it though, yummmmmm. I could get used to that. Aleister 21:14 28-1-'13
Despite being a veggie, I don't know that I have ever tried quinoa. Or even pronounced it faithfully. I read something on the guardian the other day about it being a Bad Thing. Maybe I will buy some soon and decide if it's nasty tasting and evil, or delicious and evil, the most alluring of all combinations. Leverage (talk) 21:27, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Another veggie! Yay! Have you read my Corpsearian? No, it's really good, at least to my taste buds. I can't describe it either, like nothing I've had before. You just boil water, then pour the quinoa in, cover it for 14-18 minutes or until the water is absorbed, and chow down. It's a big rage in diet magazines and those healthy men who talk on tv, so I'll have to research it more too. Are you vegan? I've been an off-and-on vegan (on since early September), because I get hooked on sugar easily and that leads to cookies and candy and every once in awhile cake. But haven't had cheese or whole milk or those weird things for a long time. Aljvepnve minutes later

Shabidoo can find out for himself, if you know what I mean. I'll read the page, but no promises. I still can't wait until you actually take a couple of weeks to polish a page. Read my UnBooks:The Old Man and LV, seriously, read it. I consider that my "signature" piece here. Long before starting it I only had the title, and knew I'd write something to go with the title (the title is a takeoff on Ernest Hemingway's "Old Man and the Sea", and there are lots of kudos back to the book on the page) but didn't want to start it because I knew it was going to be my epic here, and would have to put in lots of time. What I did was jump in to one of our two-week writing contests, in order to push myself to write the page. And I did take my time on it, during the contest and long afterwards, until I felt satisified and it "clicked" that it was done )I still tweek it sometimes, like I do with Warm piss water, another story behind that one hahahaha). Anyway, with your talent you probably could have dashed it off in a week, so my point is take at least a week or two to polish one of your pages and you may learn the wonders of polishing (the brain will take you in a learning curve if it knows you're taking your time). Okey. Al minutes later

If Aleister was Dana, I would suggest the subsequent years of writing his/her ass/arse off have kind of been a penance. And Eric, do you really want to find out that Aleister is a 34 year old mature student from Maryland? Or a 27 year old female photographer who works in a shop to pay the bills? Or a house full of twenty something roommates who take turns in writing weird articles on a lil site? Isn't it more fun not to know? My personal image of DanaZark is confused with Dana Carvey. I copied a 911 page that was VFD'd for some reason, and it makes a good template for a page. Joint? Never heard of it. I haven't read Anklophobia, and will do so. On DMT, check out Terrence McKenna's on-line lectures and presentations about it, and about almost anything in the field of mind-expansion substances. McKenna had an ability to communicate very well vocally, and his depth of knowledge has no comparison I've found. I never saw him lecture, or met him in person. Would have been nice. Ayawaska would be nice too, never did that one. If you have the chance..... I've read Hoagland, and have his main moon book. His on-line talks are interesting, and unusual enough to hold the interest. He should really add a lot more to his website, lots of the most recent stuff is several years old. Never knew about the buzz aldrin thing, I would doubt he confirmed monolith om Mars' moon, but maybe. I saw Aldrin talk once, and before he showed up this guy in the audience was talking loudly about having a relationship with him. Did someones say long members? In addition here is a video of Mars Monolith. In addition the great pyramid is more of a wind up than the moon. In addition here is Buzz Aldrin punches Bart Sibrel after being harassed by him. In addition, I just created MrN9k on ATS as I could not get anything else to work. In addition, some bastard already has MrN9000 on there. Bastard. MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 18:05, Feb 17
Long members closing tags. I don't even know what that might mean. I've seen the BuzzAldrin punch, isn't that conspiracy of humans never having gone to the moon the stupidest thing on the planet. Aldrin just got sick of it. I've met him and talked to him twice, just to get a vicinity contact high, because when he's gone the first Men To Be On The Moon (in caps in my mind) will be gone! I called Neil Armstrong once to do the same thing, just to count coup on the moon guys (if I remember right I've talked to 10 of the 12, but met only two in person. I did meet the Russ fellow who was the first to walk in space). Rambling now. Have you seen the movie Ramling Rose, when Laura Dern gets in bed with that teenager and he gets her off? Then she's walking around town with "Dixie" playing? Now that's Rambling. Aleister almost time to archive this sucker
Onto Moon Hoaxes eh? you must watch this if you have not and think there is nothing fishy about the moon landings. In particular check out at 11 mins in. The thing with the flap being up or down. ... There is LOADS of total balls talked about the moon landings. I don't claim to know what happened, but some of the stuff in that documentary is rather hard to ignore. I have seen a lot of what is in this video debunked, but there are a few rather big issues which this guy raises which have not been dealt with. I have probably spent best part of several month looking into the moon hoax. As with all conspiracy you have got to wade through a lot of bullshit to find the truth, but having spent a while doing that. I'm confident that what NASA say happens, and what actually happens are not always the same thing. MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 02:34, Feb 18
It's no use wading through any shit anymore...any critical analysis of the evidence of 911, moon landing, JFK assasination, creationism will debunk the conspiracies with overwealming certainty. Besides...everyone knows that Hiroshima wasn't actually atom bombed. It was Detroit Michigan! --ShabiDOO 23:40, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
I will keep wading thanks. ;) and... 911 was an inside job. There. Think that's the first time I have said that on Uncyc. :) MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 17:50, Feb 21

Vote goddammit[edit | edit source]

Since you have 67 features, you could help some other people get features by making a vote run through? LIEK ON ANCIENT ALIENS AND STUFF?!!?? <3  SIR Peasewhizz de NY Biblio HOS Awards 20:36, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Yeah - you not voter you! Nominally Humane! 10:22 19 Feb
I go thru and vote periodically. To me whoring means to ask for a reading, not a vote. So I don't mind whoring if the person really thinks it's a good page, like that soap guy thing I did. But if I read a page and don't vote on it this may mean that if I were forced to vote I would vote no, which I don't like doing unless the thing is horrendous or something needs to be added. On your Ancient Aliens I agree with others that it can be very much improved, and that their are cliches in there. I suggest you ask MrN, who is an alien, to edit and write on the page, he would be a great addition if you can round him up. The bigger the topic the better it has to be. If you wrote James Madison it would have to be very good to reach feature status. A made up topic can be anything. There are thousands of potential features here (I wonder, we have what, a little over 2,000 features, and maybe a thousand others that could be featured or worked into featuring status, so overall the site is top-heavy in non-featurable material. Maybe all the quasi-featured should be featured with a little improvement, fixing of red links and spelling, etc. Just thinking out words typed (TOL)) Al 10:38 20-2-'13

Bug report in the forum[edit | edit source]

Are you still having trouble logging into the new site? I was out sick for a week, so I have no idea. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngWed, Feb 20 '13 1:48 (UTC)

Not trouble logging in, but if my cache is full (and I don't even know what that means) Socky explained how to clear it. When I do that it's fine for awhile, and I can categorize and muck around with search, but it seems to become unclear again quickly. This doesn't happen anywhere else on the web that I've come across, although apparantly I've never cleared my cache correctly until Socky told me how. So I owe him my life, and will serve him whenever he needs his boots cleaned or a person to pick his nose for him. Thanks for asking. In case Sir Peez reads this, I am still a girl. Al 10:26 20-2-'13
Ok. So I guess I can close the bug report?
Also, did you ever get the email I sent you, Al? ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngFri, Feb 22 '13 3:03 (UTC)

For MrN, moon hoax[edit | edit source]

Hello MrN, MN for short, or just r. Here is a link to a thread on ats that shoots down all the fake moon landing guys, and their bodies lie prone and unconscious on the moon. here is the smoking UnGun. There is a thread up now if you haven't seen it, it's the first on the main page, which shows rocks that many people think may be verterbrae discovered on Mars, and media is starting to discover it. This guy Arken likes to look at Mars pics and find things in them, and post them, and this one is a one-day sensation so far. I haven't seen you anywhere there yet, so if you post on that Arken thread I will find you and send you stupid messages. Al 10:31 20-2-'13

Meh. Na. That video looks like every other video trying to debunk it. I have seen hundreds. Really... What this guy does is the same thing which everyone else does who tries to debunk it... He debunks the easy stuff, but ignores the difficult stuff. Let's stick to just 1 point. There are many others which are outstanding, but... Let's just stick to 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo5w0pm24ic at 11 mins in. I have not seen this debunked. There is other stuff like it... How about the hasselblad cameras? They had the cross hairs fixed inside the camera. Only camera used on the moon.. Every picture taken on them MUST show the cross hairs over the top of the background. There are some pictures where the cross hairs are behind the features in the background. To me, this clear and obvious prove that there is some kinda trickery/doctoring going on. I'm not saying they did not go to the moon... I'm saying that I don't trust what they told us about it... Time I made a post at ATS. :) MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 11:12, Feb 20
Seen this? I have seen footage of things like those orbs loads of times before, but this is the first time I have seen NASA admit to them. Could it be the Project Blue Beam is not far away? (MrN is sure Al must know all about Project Blue Beam....) MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 16:42, Feb 20
That's nice, but very old (although just posted?) because they are talking about the shuttle Atlantis being at the Space Station, when Atlantis retired years ago. In real life I run Operation Blue Beam, and we often focus on your home just for the lutz. On the video, whyu don't you get your 20 posts in if you haven't already and make a thread about it! Aleister 21:15 20-2-'13
I'm obviously behind the times! You are right... I looked around more and managed to find videos going back to 2011... :( I have had my head in the pyramids for too long and did not notice that NASA now accept that there is something up there... Which probably means that there is not. ;) MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 17:43, Feb 21
NASA does not admit that there is something "up there" in the sense of something super-natural or other-worldly or bananas. They simply admit that they cannot explain what it is. NASA wants to draw attention to unexplainable things as it renews interest in the spaceprogram and puts cosmonautic exploration into the forefront. The curiosity and aim for empirical knowledge will drive astraunots and scientists to investigate it until it is either explained as a natural phenomenon or accepted as something tentatively/possibly bananas. --ShabiDOO 23:12, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
LOL. So... What you are saying Shabidoo is.... There are no UFOs, however NASA says that there are Unidentified Flying Objects?  ;) For the record... I don't think it's "Alien". If you don't know about "Project Blue Beam", I recommend you find out about it... MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 09:42, Feb 22
There are no UFOs, just FOs that are U. Nominally Humane! 10:47 22 Feb
Project blue beam literature should be sold in bookstores inbetween "The Alchemist" and "The Davinci Code" and not to far from ghost picture books, just below The Wizard of Oz. Theres a dragon in my anus...want to see my evidence? --ShabiDOO 19:59, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Re: Non-Revert[edit | edit source]

I have not re-reverted your revert on the other page. But I think a) Spike is too fastidious not to have noticed the effect (or even not to have known what introducing 1/2 does to a column sorted numerically) and b) It makes him look like even more of a prick and gives fuel to the boo boys who call it Spikeypedia and such things. Leverage (talk) 11:21, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

I didn't think that at all, I don't even think he knows about it because he was editing his own entry page and likely didn't look at the Hall page. I found it hilarious, and wanted him to see it and decide if he wanted to revert. Calling the site SPIKEopedia is an honoring of Spike, who has been tireless in his upkeep of the site and his sheparding of new users into semi-competent writers. I think what has happened is a false image of Spike has been built up here, and so the barbs are being tossed at a straw man while the real man is a credit both to his wiki (which benefits everyone here too) and to his race (Philipino). Thanks for bringing it up though, and maybe I'll nudge Spike to take a look at the Hall. hee hee. And I too thank God that Sir Peeswhiz doesn't know about it, and how to do it!!! Aleister 21:13 20-2-'13
Your favourite article in all the land is on vfh. Uncyclopedia:VFH/BladeRunnerway_Bride. And I pasted it in the old page too re your asking me to do that thing. Leverage (talk) 17:38, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Speak of the devil.-- SIR Peasewhizz de NY Biblio HOS Awards 17:53, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Nope, I will not give my vote until you see the movies and edit it from there. It is too good not to be better. Aleister 23:18 24-2-'13

Friends with BENEFITS[edit | edit source]

I think you should read my new article :D -- SIR Peasewhizz de NY Biblio HOS Awards 23:30, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Where is it? Is it that sentence? My new article is about Will Harridge and his secretary, Mary, but it's on user space. It's not a VFH type of page though. Are you aware of the Happy Monkey contest, and will you be joining it??? Thanks for the invitation in your section header here, but I can't just be friends. Maybe Socky will want to be a friend with benefits, she often is!Aleister 23:32 24-2-'13
Wuh? NO that wasn't an invitation! Look at Friends with Benefits. That is it. Yes, I think I might join HMC13.-- SIR Peasewhizz de NY Biblio HOS Awards 23:39, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Not an invitation? I'm hurt and my pride is wounded, and I must drink myself to sleep or use something similar. I will read your article now. Crying in my beer, Al minutes later
It's a long page, and I'll read it by tomorrow. Have to get dressed to go to the Academy Awards, where I'll be winning at least two of those Oscars tonight. It's very exciting, and I've cleared a space for them in my fridge. Al minutes later
Er, sorry Ally, I didn't mean it like that. >.< lol sorry. AND ACADEMY AWARDS?! Sweet.-- SIR Peasewhizz de NY Biblio HOS Awards 23:48, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Aleister. Is that you?[edit | edit source]

User:Multiliteralist/SoS I came back basically to see if this old idea of mine should lift off this time.
