From Pee Review[edit source]

I don't know where I got the idea, but §guiggle wasn't going to finish his story, so I took it and made it part of a three-piece collection. The other two pieces were written by me (I wish I could have made them a bit longer to match Life of a Hobo). Anyways, here it is. Let me know what you think. Is it VFH quality? --EMC [TALK] 07:16, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

This always fucking happens. Everybody ignores my fucking articles when I put them in the PeeReview. Eat shit, fuckers. --EMC [TALK] 21:41, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, EMC. It happens to me too. OK. Notes on the work:
1. Oooo, it's a long one!
2. Don't expect anyone to read the Fountain of Lamneth. The prose is too convoluted -- that is, kind of fun to write but unbearable to read.
3. Damn. Don't expect me to read The Life of a Hobo. I dropped out midway through the second "chapter" because it was not hanging together and making sense. Basically, the problem becomes: OK, whatsisname got fired and then he slipped on a banana peel...meh. Who cares.
4. I did read all the way through Applesauce and it was not worth it.
I am very sorry but this article needs major surgery. In my personal opinion. The "stories" are uninteresting to me. This may be a parody of O. Henry in the sense that O's stories were concise and event-driven while the examples in the article are verbose and wandering, but the fact is writing which readers find boring and difficult will not be read by aforementioned readers! The idea of using such writing as a parody is theoretically valid but in practice it defeats itself.----OEJ 20:09, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
By the way, a brief explanation on Life of a Hobo: I originally wrote it with the concept of a complete, novel length UnBook. Yeah, pretty dumb idea. I crashed and burned, and loaned it to e|m|c, who tidied it up and connected it to this. It was not originally intended for The O. Henry collection, and I'll admit it clashes a little with the two other stories in style and especially length. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. /me steals back a penny -- §. | WotM | PLS | T | C | A 06:44, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
