You Are An Unwilling Participant in a Nefarious Competition![edit source]

Hello, Wombaticus Prime, and welcome to Uncyclopedia!

Who wants a welcome hug?!?!

You might think that you're being welcomed because you are liked.
Well
You have been misinformed. You are not liked.
Well, maybe a little.
Especially if you made a cake. Did you?
Anyway *clears throat*

The reason you have been welcomed is because members of an evil group, known as The Welcoming Committee are trying to score as many new members as possible to win some obscure statistic. Confused? So are we.

Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the airlock right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Don't forget the big red button marked "EJECT".

Here are a few good links for people new to this psychotic wiki:

Hiya[edit source]

I saw your message on the article Prinnies - the problem is, most people on Uncyc won't have heard of Disgaea, let alone the in-jokes, and so won't know what on earth the article's about. For most admins, the words "your mom" combined with a one-sentence article cause the trigger finger to twitch... basically, to anyone who hasn't heard of Disgaea, it just looks like a load of random crap. I'm sure it's funny to insiders, but to most of Uncyclopedia it's just another incomprehensible stub. If you think you can make it more outsider-friendly, feel free to work on it in your userspace until it's finished and then move it back. -- Paw print.jpg 11:25, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey. I know i'm new to this entire thing, but you deleted the article based on it being too obscure to most users....*rumages through quote bin...AH! You said: " I'm sure it's funny to insiders, but to most of Uncyclopedia it's just another incomprehensible stub.". Well. If it's funny, i say leave it in. The only people who'll look up prinnies in the first place are folks who would know the joke. The only way you can get to prinnies without knowing the anime series from which it comes is through "Penguins". that's all. So, if it's funny...and the only people who see it would think it's funny.....why delete it?
oh, and while i'm at it: Someone keeps vandalizing KFC. And the section on "beardism" in truthiness just isn't funny. I feel bad taking it down though. Have a look at it. It makes no sense...even to an avid colbert report insider.

Okay, I see your point. But to be honest, if I hadn't deleted it, another admin would have, and part of the reason for that is its length. If you work on it in your userspace to make it longer, then it'd be a lot less likely to be huffed - I'm sure there's more you can say about them than "Prinnies are mini talking penguins that contain your moms SOUL, d00d...'su'." You could also try including a reference/link to the manga series early on in the article, or a {{wikipediapar}} template linking to the Wikipedia article on it.
Alternatively, if you don't feel like expanding it, you could turn it into an Undictionary entry (a parody of Wiktionary), where entries are allowed to be a lot shorter. It's still advisable to include a reference to the Wikipedia article, though, just in case. -- Paw print.jpg 13:08, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
